28IWFLFTLD016838.2026 <br />ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES <br />(CCNA) RFQ # 26-07-01 <br />CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL <br />City of Miami Beach A/E Services in Specialized Categories on an <br />As-Needed Basis, Miami Beach, FL <br />As part of a continuing services contract, Kimley-Horn provided professional civil engineering services, including <br />engineering drawings for pedestrian signalized midblock crossings and signalization design at multiple intersections. <br />Coordinated with adjacent projects, lane reduction, and bike lane design. Supported the City with ongoing infrastructure <br />improvements through multiple task work orders. Kimley-Horn has held this contract since 2013. <br />Traffic Calming for Bayshore and Normandy <br />Isle Neighborhoods <br />Kimley-Horn provided comprehensive design and <br />construction services for the City of Miami Beach’s <br />Traffic Calming Improvements project, focusing on the <br />Bayshore, Normandy Isle, and Palm View neighborhoods. <br />The project aimed to reduce speeding and improve <br />road safety through targeted traffic calming measures. <br />Following field reviews, we developed a Traffic Calming <br />Basis of Planning Report, recommending speed <br />humps, raised crosswalks, mini roundabouts, and <br />speed cushions tailored to each neighborhood’s needs. <br />Detailed designs were prepared for roadway, drainage, <br />and signage improvements, including speed tables on N. Meridian Avenue and mini traffic circles on Prairie and <br />Sheridan Avenues. Public meetings were held to present the improvements and gather feedback, with resident balloting <br />ensuring community preferences were considered. Key enhancements included speed humps, raised crosswalks, and <br />intersection modifications in coordination with Miami-Dade County. <br />Dates of Service: 2020–Ongoing <br />Liberty Avenue North Improvements <br />Kimley-Horn is providing roadway, drainage, landscape, hardscape, lighting, signing and pavement markings, <br />signalization, and utility coordination services for a raised intersection at Liberty Avenue North and the intersection with <br />23rd Street, as well as hardscape improvements along Liberty Avenue. <br />Dates of Service: 2023–Ongoing <br />23rd Street Complete Streets Improvements <br />Kimley-Horn is providing construction documents for the City of Miami Beach SW 23rd Complete Streets Project. <br />Kimley-Horn’s support includes design, permitting, and construction services for the implementation of buffered bike <br />lanes, two-way cycle track, protected intersection, raised intersection, bike boxes at signalized intersections, reduced <br />travel lane widths, new signalized intersection, new traffic mast arms, sidewalk curb and gutter replacement, intersection <br />bulb-outs, drainage improvements, pedestrian improvements, driveway modifications, parking modifications, pavement <br />milling and resurfacing, and signage and pavement marking, including the connection to the Miami Beach Boardwalk. <br />Dates of Service: 2020–Ongoing <br />On-Call
