<br />Legg provided the preparation and permitting of drainage
<br />plans to collect under the new drain systems installed as
<br />part of the project, as well as surveying services. In addition,
<br />construction observation was provided to verify compliance
<br />with the plans and for the certification of the project through
<br />regulatory agencies.
<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach Landscape Architecture
<br />Services Contract - Miller Legg is collaborating with the
<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach to provide a variety of landscape
<br />architecture services under the firm’s multi-year Continuing
<br />Services Contract for Landscape Architecture Services (2022
<br />– 2027). Tasks provided include DRC Assignments, Plans
<br />Review, Permit Reviews, Inspections for Final Closeouts,
<br />Arborist and Tree Inspections, Code Compliance for Tree
<br />Dispositions, Rose Garden Design for Meditation Garden
<br />at Town Center Park, Revised Technical Specifications for
<br />Environmental and Landscape Architecture, Review and
<br />Renew entire Landscape Architecture Code – existing and
<br />future, and Review and Update contract for Landscape
<br />Maintenance.
<br />City of Miami Beach Chase Avenue and 34th Street
<br />Shared Path - Provided surveying, civil engineering and
<br />landscape architecture services related to the new 10-foot
<br />shared use path which supports the use of simultaneous
<br />pedestrian and bicycle activity. The scope of services
<br />included topographic surveying, tree inventory, disposition
<br />and permitting; irrigation, landscape, hardscape and
<br />amenities design, site civil design development, permitting
<br />coordination, bidding assistance/contract administration and
<br />construction phase tasks including construction observation.
<br />City of Coral Gables Cooper and Moore Parks - Under
<br />our continuing services contract with the City of Coral
<br />Gables, Miller Legg is providing landscape architecture
<br />and civil engineering services for the improvements to the
<br />Cooper and Moore parks in Miami. Our scope includes
<br />schematic park design and tree assessment, landscape
<br />architecture design, irrigation design, site civil design and
<br />photometric lighting plan. Miller Legg will also provide
<br />community outreach, bidding assistance and construction
<br />administration. Design improvements to the parks include
<br />Professional Experience:
<br />As a Senior Landscape Architect/QC, Mr. Shore has
<br />significant experience in landscape architectural design and
<br />landscape construction services for a variety of public and
<br />private projects. Specialties include landscape, hardscape,
<br />and irrigation design services for streetscape and roadway
<br />projects including the Florida Department of Transportation
<br />(FDOT), all aspects of active and passive park design,
<br />healthcare campuses, and environmental wetland habitat
<br />creation. Other experience includes various residential and
<br />commercial projects. Mr. Shore is a Senior Associate of the
<br />firm.
<br />Relevant Project Experience:
<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach Pelican Community Park - A
<br />three-acre active park site, for which Miller Legg managed
<br />landscape architecture, irrigation, engineering, surveying
<br />and architecture designs for a baseball field, recreation
<br />building, playground structure, gymnasium, and related site
<br />amenities within the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The City
<br />works jointly with Norman S. Edelcup/Sunny Isles Beach K-8
<br />School and offers a variety of seasonal programs for youth,
<br />in addition to athletics and camps at the Park. The project
<br />management team at Miller Legg received recognition from
<br />the City for their involvement in the design completion of
<br />the park. In addition, Miller Legg provided construction
<br />observation services. In addition, we also provided grant
<br />assistance to secure a Florida Recreational Development
<br />Assistant Program (FRDAP) grant for $200,000. FRDAP is a
<br />competitive grant program that provides financial assistance
<br />to local governments for development or acquisition of land
<br />for public outdoor recreational purposes. Award: Award

<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach Gwen Margolis Park and
<br />Pelican Community Park Artificial Turf - The project
<br />consisted of the reconstruction of existing natural turf fields
<br />at Pelican Community Park and Senator Gwen Margolis Park
<br />in the City of Sunny Isles Beach with artificial turf. Miller
