<br />focuses on creating a unified landscape framework through
<br />coordinated plant palettes, conceptual hardscape features,
<br />and gateway elements that reinforce a sense of place while
<br />accommodating transit, vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian
<br />activity. The Master Landscape Concept aligns with ongoing
<br />and planned downtown revitalization efforts led by the City
<br />and Community Redevelopment Agency, contributing to
<br />improved walkability, enhanced public spaces, and long-term
<br />economic and civic investment in Downtown Homestead.
<br />City of Hallandale Beach Atlantic Shores Boulevard
<br />from US-1 / Federal Highway to Diplomat Parkway -
<br />This 1/4-mile milling and resurfacing project enhancements
<br />include drainage, signage and pavement markings,
<br />signalization, lighting, landscaping and hardscape. Specific
<br />landscape architecture analysis and design services included
<br />landscape architecture and irrigation plans for the median
<br />islands, swales, parking islands/bulbouts, hardscape and a
<br />roundabout.
<br />Florida Department of Transportation District 4 Las
<br />Olas Tunnel Plaza Rehabilitation - Miller Legg provided
<br />landscape architecture, irrigation, hardscape, surveying and
<br />in-depth construction observation services for the Plaza.
<br />The 115’ terraced pedestrian plaza extended over the north
<br />US 1 tunnel. The Plaza included ‘table topping’ Las Olas
<br />Boulevard and 3 existing plazas. The project transformed
<br />these four areas collectively into a cohesive pedestrian plaza
<br />experience, creating a unique, iconic, destination.
<br />City of Wellington Aquatics Center Village Park A
<br />- For the new center located in the Village Park Athletics
<br />Complex, Miller Legg provided arborists and landscape
<br />architecture services. Scope includes design development,
<br />irrigation design, and construction observation. Our
<br />certified arborists performed a tree inventory and prepared
<br />a tree removal and/or relocation plan. Amenities include
<br />a multi-purpose pool with a play structure and rental
<br />cabanas, a competition pool, 7,500 SF pool house including
<br />a concession stand, locker rooms, as well as facility parking
<br />for cars, buses and bicycles. Miller Legg is a subconsultant to
<br />Ohlson Lavoie Corporation Architects.
<br />lighting infrastructure for security and holiday lights, a new
<br />playground with play equipment for various ages, fitness
<br />equipment, and drinking fountains. With these Parks on
<br />separate parcels of land, specific design attention was critical
<br />in tying the Parks spaces together with new walkways, a
<br />unifying buffer wall, and revamping Park signage and
<br />wayfinding.
<br />City of Delray Beach Pompey Park Community Center
<br />and Campus Design - Surveying, SUE, civil engineering,
<br />landscape architecture, permitting and construction phase
<br />services. Schematic design tasks include due diligence,
<br />code, programming, site engineering, landscape and
<br />hardscape schematic design verification. Assisting with
<br />community outreach and relevant City agency design review
<br />presentations throughout the process as well as permit
<br />coordination.
<br />City of Miami Buena Vista Heights Landscape - Miller
<br />Legg prepared landscape architecture design plans for the
<br />City of Miami Buena Vista Heights neighborhood. The
<br />neighborhood roadway improvements project area included
<br />tree removal/mitigation and landscape design. Miller Legg
<br />was a subconsultant to RJ Behar and Company.
<br />City of South Miami Parks and Recreation Master
<br />Plan - Miller Legg prepared the first City of South Miami
<br />Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The professional services
<br />for this Master Plan included comprehensive planning,
<br />recreation planning, significant maintenance planning,
<br />landscape architecture, and public outreach services. To
<br />develop programming, budget, and operational needs for
<br />a 10-year horizon, our team researched existing facilities
<br />and recreation opportunities, and needs analyses specific
<br />to South Miami demographics. Public outreach services
<br />included a public online survey, multiple public presentations
<br />and workshops.
<br />City of Homestead Downtown Landscape Master Plan
<br />- Under our Continuing Services Contract with the City
<br />of Homestead, Miller Legg is preparing a comprehensive
<br />Master Landscape Concept for five prominent gateway
<br />intersections serving Historic Downtown Homestead.
<br />These intersections - Krome Avenue and Flagler Avenue,
<br />Mowry Drive and the Busway, the Busway corridor from
<br />Mowry Drive to NE 2nd Street, NE 2nd Drive at the Busway,
<br />and Campbell Drive at Flagler Avenue and the Busway -
<br />function as key arrival points and visual thresholds into the
<br />downtown district. The master concept will support the
<br />City’s broader redevelopment and streetscape initiatives by
<br />establishing cohesive landscape and placemaking strategies
<br />that enhance downtown identity, improve pedestrian
<br />comfort, and strengthen multimodal connectivity. The effort
