<br />Legg’s scope comprises compilation of an existing conditions
<br />inventory, preparation of a matrix of criteria to use in the
<br />evaluation of the potential trail alignments, preparation of
<br />various preliminary alignment alternatives with Opinions of
<br />Probable Cost, development of a preferred alignment with
<br />location, typical design, proposed enhancements, right of way/
<br />property issues associated with implementation, potential
<br />property acquisitions, followed by creation of the Feasibility
<br />Report for presentation to the City Council. The Study was
<br />funded by an FDOT SUN Trail Grant.
<br />City of Miami Armbrister Park Community Center -
<br />Esther Mae Armbrister Park is a 4.4-acre City of Miami Park
<br />with amenities that included an existing community center,
<br />baseball and football fields, tennis and basketball courts,
<br />playground and exercise equipment. The project involved
<br />replacement of the existing community center building with
<br />a new 10,000 SF 2-story facility and outdoor pavilion. Miller
<br />Legg was responsible for civil, landscape architecture and SUE
<br />services along with boundary, topographic and tree surveying.
<br />The firm provided site civil and utility infrastructure research
<br />of utility maps, as-builts and existing site conditions followed
<br />by preparation of civil, landscape architecture and irrigation
<br />construction documents, government agency permitting
<br />coordination, bidding assistance, contract administration and
<br />construction administration. Tree inventory, disposition plans
<br />and permitting are part of the scope provided by the firm’s
<br />certified arborists.
<br />City of Homestead Biscayne-Everglades Greenway Trail
<br />- Among the services Miller Legg provided for this 3.2 mile,
<br />12-foot-wide Biscayne Everglades Greenway shared-use trail
<br />project are landscape architectural, engineering, surveying
<br />and environmental services including preparation of FDOT-
<br />approved construction documents, design of regulatory and
<br />wayfinding signs, pavement markings, safe pedestrian push
<br />button crossing and necessary drainage within the C-103
<br />Canal right-of-way from East Mowry Drive to SW 137th
<br />Avenue in Homestead. The scope of services was based upon
<br />a 2017 Florida Shared-use Non-Motorized Trail Agreement
<br />between the City of Homestead and FDOT. Topographic
<br />and SUE services were delivered. The scope included
<br />engineering design and permitting services for the shared-use
<br />Professional Experience:
<br />Sandro has almost 30 years of professional surveying
<br />experience ranging from a field crew chief to survey manager
<br />overseeing survey crews. His areas of expertise include land
<br />surveying, boundary, topographic, ALTA, control surveys,
<br />utility surveys, 3D Radar Tomography, GPS, route surveys,
<br />legal descriptions, laser scanning, and construction layout
<br />calculations. He is experienced in AutoCAD, Civil 3D,
<br />Cyclone and CloudWorx, and Trimble Geomatics Office.
<br />Prior to joining Miller Legg, Sandro was Survey Coordinator
<br />Manager with another South Florida surveying firm for 15
<br />years.
<br />Relevant Project Experience:
<br />City of Miami E.G. Sewell Park - Under contract with
<br />the City for program development, pre-design, master
<br />planning design, public involvement workshops, construction
<br />documents and construction administration services.
<br />The scope of services includes landscape architecture,
<br />environmental, civil engineering, topographical surveying,
<br />SUE, arborist, structural engineering, electrical engineering,
<br />geotechnical engineering, archeological, permitting, bidding
<br />assistance and limited construction administration.
<br />City of Miami Fairlawn Community Park - Under our
<br />continuing services contract, provided programming, pre-
<br />design, construction documents, and construction phase
<br />services for a new 1-acre Community Park on SW 63rd
<br />Avenue. Scope included planning, civil, structural, electrical,
<br />geotechnical engineering, landscape architecture, surveying,
<br />permitting, and cost estimating.
<br />City of Homestead Biscayne Everglades Trail Western
<br />Expansion Feasibility Study - Miller Legg was retained to
<br />conduct a feasibility study to assist the City of Homestead
<br />in determining the preferred 3-mile route and trail design
<br />for the alignment of the Western Extension of the existing
<br />Biscayne Everglades Greenway Trail (BEGT). The Study Area
<br />is from the C-103 Canal Crossing at East Mowry Drive to the
<br />192nd Avenue intersection with West Mowry Drive. Miller
