Lauderdale-Hollywood International <br />Airport expansion projects. Services provided included: <br />paving and drainage improvements for the nature center <br />and associated parking lot, design of three sewage pump <br />stations, water distribution system design, sanitary sewage <br />collection and transmission system design, off-site force <br />main, traffic engineering, surveying, water quality data <br />analysis, hypothesis development and review, sediment <br />analysis, fishery analysis, rip-rap design, benthic macro- <br />invertebrate identification, seagrass survey, mitigation credit <br />determination, and USACE dredge and fill permitting. The <br />seagrass survey was conducted using scuba diving and digital <br />global positioning satellite equipment and included transect/ <br />quadrant measurements of seagrass density, abundance, and <br />frequency of occurrence. <br />City of Hollywood Sunset Park Master Plan <br />Implementation - Miller Legg is providing multidisciplinary <br />architectural and engineering services for the implementation <br />of the City of Hollywood’s Sunset Park Master Plan, <br />transforming the former 40-acre Sunset Golf Course into the <br />City’s largest passive public park. Services include surveying, <br />subsurface utility engineering (SUE), environmental consulting, <br />geotechnical engineering, architecture, MEP engineering, civil <br />engineering, landscape architecture, lighting design, permitting <br />assistance and preparation of site plans and construction <br />documents. The project supports the City’s vision of creating <br />a signature community park that enhances recreational <br />opportunities, preserves natural resources and provides open <br />space for generations to come. <br />City of Weston Vista Park Phase II Recreation Center <br />- Miller Legg is providing survey, SUE, landscape architecture, <br />and civil engineering for the development of a new 40,000 <br />SF recreation center with a multipurpose gymnasium with <br />three basketball courts, an upstairs running track, a fitness/ <br />activity room, multipurpose rooms, break room, bathrooms, <br />storage, standby power, and other required and support <br />spaces. The park site will also contain a shaded playground, <br />splashpad, multipurpose courts, shade structure, and a new <br />exit/access drive to Vista Park Boulevard. The recreation <br />complex aims to provide Weston residents with year-round <br />programming beyond traditional outdoor spaces. Miller Legg <br />is a subconsultant to Wannemacher Jensen Architects for <br />this project. <br />City of Coconut Creek Copans Road Median Landscape <br />Architecture Plans - For this median improvement <br />project along Copans Road between Lyons Road and the <br />Florida Turnpike Overpass, Miller Legg provided landscape, <br />hardscape and irrigation design plans, tree inventory, <br />surveying, permitting, pre-construction and construction <br />observation services to the City. Tree, streets and highway <br />permitting was coordinated with Broward County. <br />construction of a new one-story 4,000 SF recreation building, <br />renovated restroom facilities, expansion of walking trail with <br />lighting, distance marker, and exercise stations, new pavilions, <br />new parking lot, refurbished basketball and tennis courts, <br />new fencing, new shaded playgrounds, new landscaping and <br />irrigation, addition of horseshoe pits, sand volleyball, mini <br />golf, and video system and WIFI. Miller Legg provided civil <br />engineering, landscape architecture, surveying and SUE <br />services for this 40-acre park as a subconsultant to Synalovski, <br />Romanik and Saye Architects. An arborist assessment <br />of existing trees and palms was carried out as part of the <br />landscape architecture services. <br />City of Miami Museum Park Baywalk Phase 3 - Miller Legg <br />provided landscape architecture, civil engineering, lighting/ <br />electrical engineering, surveying, permitting and limited <br />construction administration services for the Miami Baywalk <br />Phase 3 Project. Permitting for project improvements was <br />provided through the City of Miami, Miami-Dade County <br />and South Florida Water Management District. Underground <br />utility designation for electric and drainage utilities was <br />performed. The project is a 1/4-mile pedestrian-oriented <br />urban waterfront park and promenade on Biscayne Bay, <br />located adjacent to the east coast greenway. The Baywalk <br />design includes custom native stone benches, extensive paver <br />pedestrian spaces, salt-tolerant tropical plantings, as well as <br />themed lighting and site amenities. The planting design not <br />only enhanced aesthetics, but also buffered unsightly adjacent <br />parking and utility areas and minimized exposed surfaces that <br />had been subject to graffiti. This project was performed under <br />our Miscellaneous Landscape Architectural Services contract. <br />City of Miami Beach Chase Avenue and 34th Street <br />Shared Path - Under its continuing services agreement with <br />the City of Miami Beach, Miller Legg was retained to provide <br />surveying, civil engineering and landscape architecture services <br />related to the new Chase Avenue and 34th Street shared <br />path and roadway improvements project. The 10-ft shared <br />use path supports the use of simultaneous pedestrian and <br />bicycle activity. The scope of services included topographic <br />surveying, tree inventory, disposition and permitting; irrigation, <br />landscape, hardscape and amenities design, site civil design <br />development for clearing/demolition, signage and marking, <br />paving, grading, drainage and erosion control/pollution <br />prevention. Miller Legg was also responsible for permitting <br />coordination with the City and Miami-Dade DERM, as well as <br />bidding assistance/contract administration and construction <br />phase tasks including construction observation. <br />Broward County Parks and Recreation West Lake <br />Park II - Environmental Services - Permitting and design <br />of enhancements for the second phase of this 1,500-acre <br />estuarine wetland.
