QUALIFICAtIoNS 54P261925RFQ # 26-07-01 • CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES (CCNA) <br />Flower Street Ends ADA Access Ramps <br />Moffatt & Nichol was <br />tasked by the City <br />to perform concept <br />design, permitting <br />with FDEP, civil and <br />structural engineering, <br />bidding assistance, <br />and construction <br />administration and <br />inspection to provide <br />ADA beach access <br />along the Broadwalk <br />at the “Flower” Street <br />intersections. The project <br />includes ADA accessible <br />ramps, elevated timber <br />boardwalks, and ADA <br />accessible showers. <br />Currently, public beach access at these locations <br />requires the use of stairs, impacting those with mobility <br />needs. The access ramp structures are located <br />adjacent to marine turtle nesting habitat and native <br />beach vegetation requiring the structural design to <br />account for these to limit impacts to the beach/dune <br />system habitats. <br />Contract Dates2022–2024 <br />Contract Amount$32,800 <br />Dune Boardwalk CCCL FEMA <br />The Hollywood Beach CRA asked Moffatt & Nichol to <br />evaluate the feasibility of extending the existing public <br />multimodal Boardwalk path from its current termination <br />at Georgia Street to the south City limits. Moffatt & <br />Nichol completed an initial data review and assessment <br />of the varying beach/dune and riparian upland <br />conditions within the proposed Beachwalk Extension <br />project area, dividing the potential Project area into <br />three segments based on these characteristics. <br />Moffatt & Nichol assessed the potential feasible route <br />and design of a Beachwalk Extension path at the <br />landward edge of the beach/dune system. Moffatt <br />& Nichol consulted with FDEP Coastal Construction <br />Control Line (CCCL) Permitting program staff regarding <br />project regulatory feasibility and summarized in a joint <br />presentation to the City Commission and CRA Board <br />potential Beachwalk Extension project opportunities, <br />challenges and other considerations. Recommended <br />next steps were also outlined. <br />Contract Dates2022–Present <br />Contract Amount$24,000 <br />Keating Park <br />Moffatt & Nichol was retained by the City to provide <br />FDEP CCCL permitting services for the Keating Park <br />renovation project, which included remodeling on an <br />existing structure at the park, creation of a new dog <br />park facility, associated landscape and hardscape <br />improvements, and marine turtle lighting for the park. <br />Moffatt & Nichol reviewed the proposed <br />project elements for compliance with FDEP <br />CCCL regulations, including additional <br />encroachment onto the sandy beach, impact <br />minimization relative to the marine turtle <br />nesting habitat, drainage onto the beach, and <br />potential grading changes within the existing <br />Project area. Moffatt & Nichol obtained <br />the FDEP CCCL permit for the project and <br />negotiated FWC approval for the park lighting <br />improvements. <br />Contract Dates2023–2025 <br />Contract Amount$30,000
