<br />MIAMI-DADE COUNTY DTPW PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR HIGHWAY ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR

<br />Kimley-Horn was selected in 2020 to serve the Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW)
<br />on a wide range of planning, dsign, and management on an as needed basis. The primary purpose of this on-call contract is
<br />to support the Highway Division of DTPW with planning, design and engineering, public involvement, right-of-way and utilities
<br />coordination, construction, project control, estimating services, plans review, and quality assurance for projects in the Capital
<br />Improvement Plan funded through Road Impact Fees. Kimley-Horn has successfully completed multiple task work orders
<br />through this contract. For each task work order, our firm was responsible for all phases of the project through implementation
<br />to achieve quality construction documents, cost, and schedule goals.
<br />South Bayshore Drive from Darwin Street to Mercy Way
<br />Kimley-Horn was selected to design roadway and drainage improvements along South Bayshore Drive from Darwin
<br />Street to Mercy Way, including a new stormwater management system, new pedestrian and bicycle facilities, improved
<br />signalized intersections, and other aesthetic components. The project corridor covers 1.5-miles of an urban collector
<br />road. The proposed improvements include roadway reconstruction to harmonization, stormwater facilities, shared-use
<br />path (Commodore Trail); lighting, and landscaping. This project involved close coordination with the City of Miami Historic
<br />Preservation Board as well as the State Historic Preservation Office, given the corridor’s local scenic route designation. A
<br />Cultural Resources Assessment was required to evaluate historical resources along the corridor. As this project discharges to
<br />Biscayne Bay, a combination of local, state, and federal permits were required.
<br />Roadway Improvements to SW 152nd Avenue from SW 312th Street to North of Waldin Drive
<br />Miami-Dade County DTPW selected Kimley-Horn to develop design plans for roadway improvements to SW 152nd Avenue
<br />from SW 132nd Street to south of US-1 (approx. 1.84 miles). The proposed improvements include reconstruction and
<br />widening of SW 152nd Avenue from a two-lane road to accommodate a curved three-lane undivided section with 10-feet
<br />shared use path on both sides, continuous stormwater drainage system, pavement marking and signage, signalization
<br />improvements, and roadway lighting.
<br />CITY OF MIAMI BEACH A/E SERVICES IN SPEICALIZED CATAGORIES ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS

<br />As part of a continuing services contract, Kimley-Horn provided professional civil engineering services, including engineering
<br />drawings for pedestrian signalized midblock crossings and signalization design at multiple intersections. Coordinated with
<br />adjacent projects, lane reduction, and bike lane design. Supported the City with ongoing infrastructure improvements through
<br />multiple task work orders. Kimley-Horn has held this contract since 2013.
<br />Liberty Avenue North Improvements
<br />Kimley-Horn is providing roadway, drainage, landscape, hardscape, lighting, signing and pavement markings, signalization,
<br />and utility coordination services for a raised intersection at Liberty Avenue North and the intersection with 23rd Street, as well
<br />as hardscape improvements along Liberty Avenue.
<br />23rd Street Complete Streets Improvements
<br />Kimley-Horn is providing construction documents for the City of Miami Beach SW 23rd Complete Streets Project. Kimley-
<br />Horn’s support includes design, permitting, and construction services for the implementation of buffered bike lanes, two-way
<br />cycle track, protected intersection, raised intersection, bike boxes at signalized intersections, reduced travel lane widths,
<br />new signalized intersection, new traffic mast arms, sidewalk curb and gutter replacement, intersection bulbouts, drainage
<br />improvements, pedestrian improvements, driveway modifications, parking modifications, pavement milling and resurfacing,
<br />and signage and pavement marking, including the connection to the Miami Beach Boardwalk.
