RFQ-26-07-01-0-2026/GC <br />RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />Village of Palmetto Bay Sub-Basin 61 Drainage Improvements, Palmetto Bay, FL — <br />Project engineer. Kimley-Horn was retained by the City of Palmetto Bay to provide professional <br />services associated with developing contract documents for the Sub-Basin 61 Drainage <br />Improvement project. As identified by the The Village of Palmetto Bay’s Stormwater Master <br />Plan, the sub-basin is an area that experiences frequent flooding. The design included drainage <br />improvements to the existing system including exfiltration trenching and connections to the <br />adjacent South Florida Water Management canal within a residential neighborhood. The scope <br />included civil construction documents and permitting <br />Shores Estates Drainage Improvements, Miami Shores Village, FL— Project engineer. <br />Kimley-Horn is providing professional engineering services for the design and construction of a <br />drainage collection system with water quality treatment measures for the residential neighborhood <br />known as Shores Estates. Improvements consist of underground piping, a stormwater pump <br />station, and an outfall connection to the adjacent canal system.Professional services include <br />surveying, stormwater analysis, civil and electrical engineering design, landscaping and irrigation, <br />permitting, coordinating with utility providers, preparing quantity calculations, and engineer’s <br />estimates of probable costs. The construction phase services will include site visits, pay application <br />review, responding to RFIs, and project closeout/certifications. Design challenges include natural <br />topography that causes parts of the neighborhood roads to have elevations three feet lower than <br />the high areas. The roadways regularly experience king tide flooding due to the low-lying elevations <br />of the area. The project was part of a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant due to the heavy flooding <br />occurring in the area. <br />N. Riverside Drive Drainage Improvements, Pompano Beach, FL — Project engineer. As <br />identified by the City’s Stormwater Master Plan, N. Riverside Drive experiences frequent flood due <br />to low land elevations, runoff contributing from nearby areas, and increased groundwater elevations <br />due to tidal influences. Project design includes the addition of a stormwater main throughout the <br />corridor, roadway restoration, inlet adjustments to avoid ponding, and a stormwater pump station <br />and outfall. Careful consideration was taken in researching existing utilities to avoid multiple <br />conflicts. The scope includes design services, existing utility coordination, stormwater modeling, <br />construction plans, and permitting. <br />Saga Bay Drainage Improvements, Cutler Bay, FL — Project engineer. The Town of Cutler <br />Bay is experiencing flooding within the Saga Bay neighborhood. Kimley-Horn was retained to <br />prepare and deliver design, and construction plans to improve stormwater management and <br />improve stormwater quality within the project limits. The professional services associated with this <br />project include design, permitting, bid document development, bidding assistance, and limited <br />construction phase services.
