APPROACH/METHODOLOGY RFQ 26-07-01 Continuing Professional Consulting Services Project Plan At this point, we meet to review these documents with your project representative and confirm their agreement with key milestones, planned deliverables and any other aspect of roadmap. They are immediately distributed to consultants who are required to con firm their understanding of their project roles based on that roadmap. Upon completion of these reviews which we accomplish within a few short days, the roadmap becomes our project plan. We consider this to be a living document which is re -coordinated and adjusted as necessary as issues arise or changes become necessary. Quality Assurance During the progress of the work, quality assurance checks are performed at multiple milestones using guidelines established within the project plan. At certain key milestones, such as at completion of documentation and prior to bid release, dual QA checks are conducted to reduce ‘misses.’ While the project manager and/or principal-in-charge are primarily responsible for progress QA checks, these key checks are duplicated by an alternative project principal. Our quality assurance also carries through to construction phase of the work. When we perform construction administration, we take special care to make sure that work is being carried out according to the construction document. Completion Finally, at the completion of the project, after all closeout materials and documentation is delivered, we conduct one final de-briefing with your project representative and ask for their frank review and assessment of our overall project performance. This information is then used firm-wide to fine tune our project procedures and ensure that we always provide the level of service our clients expect from us. Contracting and Sourcing At RAI, we are deeply familiar with many project delivery methods. We are currently involved in projects utilizing the design/bid/build, CM at Risk, and Design/Build forms of contract arrangement. Our extensive background in multiple project types allow us to evaluate your project and make an informed assessment of the advantages or disadvantages of choosing one project delivery method over the other. Cost Analysis and Schedule Planning At RAI, our database of completed projects which extends through the history of our firm gives us a unique advantage when it comes to cost analysis and schedule planning. We commonly provide cost estimates for our own projects. Additionally, we are often brought in as a consultant to provide cost estimates on feasibility studies where the decision between renovations versus new construction requires supporting data. We also have a strong reputation across our past and current continuing contracts for consistently meeting our client’s demands by being on time and under budget. Construction and Contract Administration RAI has maintained a reputation among our clients and contractors of being responsive throughout the construction phase. As such, we are known for the quality of our work. To achieve this, we are clear and concise on our specifications, consistent and timely in our support for the contractor during the construction phase. We view construction administration as an extension of architecture, therefore our team members who develop and document our designs, also perform construction administration services.
