29 <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | RFQ 26-07-01 <br />Continuing Professional Architectural and Engineering | General Civil Engineer <br />Project Description <br />Ross Engineering’s scope included a detailed hydrologic analysis of <br />the city of North Miami Basin’s #5 and an extensive hydraulic analysis <br />of existing and proposed stormwater pump station structures. This <br />hydrologic analysis included data collection using DB-HYDRO, USGS <br />and NOAA databases for rainfall, stage and flow; basin characteristics <br />including field visits during storm events, soil testing results, existing <br />permits, evapotranspiration and surveys. The scope of work for the <br />hydraulic rating analysis included analyzing two existing pump stations <br />on NE 14th Avenue and 136th <br />Avenue (existing FLYGHT Pumps) <br />included developing system and <br />pump curves to approximate <br />deficiencies. New pump stations <br />were proposed to accommodate <br />much larger volumes of runoff <br />from increased development <br />upstream.
