<br />more than 18 years of commissioning experience. He will remain engaged with the City, support
<br />issue resolution and resource allocation, and ensure that the firm’s electrical, mechanical,
<br />plumbing, fire-protection, commissioning, and construction-administration resources remain
<br />coordinated.
<br />The proposed staff is further supported by a deep production and field-services team. Craig
<br />Thompson, PE, brings 10 years of electrical engineering experience in higher education,
<br />government, institutional, lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, special systems, and lightning-
<br />protection projects. Scott Gillen provides more than 41 years of electrical construction,
<br />maintenance, inspection, plans examination, code-compliance, facilities-operations, and
<br />construction-management experience, including work on facilities with construction costs
<br />up to $14 million. James (Jim) Rogers contributes 28 years of low-voltage and technology
<br />experience, including more than 22 years in fire alarm controls, programming, testing,
<br />troubleshooting, voice/data, access control, CCTV, and security systems. Nick Zalah brings
<br />11.5 years of electrical design experience for municipalities, school boards, higher-education
<br />institutions, and continuing-services contracts. Jeremy Neely offers 24.5 years of electrical field,
<br />project-management, estimating, critical-power, generator, UPS, data-center, low-voltage,
<br />and construction-administration experience. Emily Ryan contributes nine years of electrical
<br />design experience involving local government, higher education, sports facilities, institutional,
<br />health-care, commercial, and residential projects, including Miami-Dade and Broward County
<br />assignments.
<br />This staffing depth gives the City both senior-level accountability and practical production
<br />capacity. SGM can scale personnel to match the size, urgency, and complexity of each
<br />task order without changing the City’s primary points of contact. The team can support
<br />investigations, feasibility studies, electrical calculations, code analysis, utility coordination,
<br />power-distribution design, emergency power, street and park lighting, sports-field lighting, fire
<br />alarm, telecommunications, security, technology systems, cost estimating, permitting, bidding,
<br />construction administration, field inspection, testing, commissioning, training, and closeout.
<br />SGM’s qualifications are particularly relevant to Sunny Isles Beach because the firm understands
<br />the demands of a dense coastal municipality. Assignments may involve salt-laden air, high
<br />humidity, severe-weather exposure, flood considerations, constrained sites, public access, utility
<br />coordination, occupied facilities, limited outage windows, special events, long-lead electrical
<br />equipment, and the need to maintain essential City operations. SGM addresses these conditions
<br />during initial scoping and field investigation, before design assumptions are established. The
<br />team’s South Florida experience includes municipal parks, public-space lighting, emergency
<br />power, technology systems, occupied public facilities, and continuing-services work in Miami-
<br />Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties.
