City of Miami Beach – Bass Museum Rehabilitation / Reglazing <br />Schindler Architects provided architectural services for the <br />rehabilitation and reglazing of the historic Bass Museum in Miami <br />Beach. The work was performed in accordance with the Secretary <br />of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation, requiring careful <br />consideration of the existing historic building while addressing <br />necessary facility improvements. The project demonstrates <br />Schindler’s experience working with a municipal client on an <br />existing public facility, where preservation requirements, existing <br />conditions, technical coordination, and attention to the building's <br />character were important components of the assignment. <br />Miami-Dade County – EDP Continuing Professional Services <br />Contract <br />Schindler Architects currently provides architectural services to <br />Miami-Dade County under an EDP Continuing Professional <br />Services Contract. The contract includes multiple task-order <br />assignments involving renovation and improvements to existing <br />County facilities. Representative assignments include the <br />refurbishment of the People Mover Station at Terminal E at Miami <br />International Airport, the construction of a new Break Room and Restrooms <br />at Satellite Concourse E, and the renovation of Building 845. The <br />assignments require coordination with County staff, consultants, permitting <br />authorities, and ongoing facility operations. <br />Miami-Dade County GSA – Fleet Maintenance Facility <br />Schindler Architects provided architectural services for the expansion of a <br />Miami-Dade County General Services Administration Fleet Maintenance <br />Facility. The project included service bays designed to accommodate large <br />service vehicles, along with offices, support areas, and associated parking <br />improvements. The assignment demonstrates experience addressing the <br />specialized functional and operational requirements of an active government <br />facility while integrating administrative and support spaces with vehicle <br />maintenance operations. <br />Miami-Dade County Community Action Agency – Day Care Center <br />Adaptive Reuse <br />Schindler Architects provided architectural services for the adaptive <br />reuse of an existing warehouse for the Miami-Dade County Community <br />Action Agency. The project converted the existing structure into a Day <br />Care Center with associated administrative office space. The <br />assignment demonstrates Schindler’s ability to evaluate an existing <br />building and develop a new use within its constraints, while addressing <br />the functional and regulatory requirements of a public facility.
