City of Miami Beach – Bass Museum Rehabilitation / Reglazing
Schindler Architects provided architectural services for the
rehabilitation and reglazing of the historic Bass Museum in Miami
Beach. The work was performed in accordance with the Secretary
of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation, requiring careful
consideration of the existing historic building while addressing
necessary facility improvements. The project demonstrates
Schindler’s experience working with a municipal client on an
existing public facility, where preservation requirements, existing
conditions, technical coordination, and attention to the building's
character were important components of the assignment.
Miami-Dade County – EDP Continuing Professional Services
Contract
Schindler Architects currently provides architectural services to
Miami-Dade County under an EDP Continuing Professional
Services Contract. The contract includes multiple task-order
assignments involving renovation and improvements to existing
County facilities. Representative assignments include the
refurbishment of the People Mover Station at Terminal E at Miami
International Airport, the construction of a new Break Room and Restrooms
at Satellite Concourse E, and the renovation of Building 845. The
assignments require coordination with County staff, consultants, permitting
authorities, and ongoing facility operations.
Miami-Dade County GSA – Fleet Maintenance Facility
Schindler Architects provided architectural services for the expansion of a
Miami-Dade County General Services Administration Fleet Maintenance
Facility. The project included service bays designed to accommodate large
service vehicles, along with offices, support areas, and associated parking
improvements. The assignment demonstrates experience addressing the
specialized functional and operational requirements of an active government
facility while integrating administrative and support spaces with vehicle
maintenance operations.
Miami-Dade County Community Action Agency – Day Care Center
Adaptive Reuse
Schindler Architects provided architectural services for the adaptive
reuse of an existing warehouse for the Miami-Dade County Community
Action Agency. The project converted the existing structure into a Day
Care Center with associated administrative office space. The
assignment demonstrates Schindler’s ability to evaluate an existing
building and develop a new use within its constraints, while addressing
the functional and regulatory requirements of a public facility.
