6.5 Coordination with City Staff

Schindler Architects recognizes that successful continuing services assignments depend on a
collaborative working relationship with City staff. The firm will establish clear lines of
communication at the beginning of each assignment and maintain regular coordination throughout
the project.

The project team will work directly with the City’s designated representatives to confirm priorities,
obtain available information, coordinate site access, review design decisions, and address
questions as they arise. Meetings and progress discussions will be focused and productive, with
clear identification of decisions, responsibilities, and next steps.

Schindler also understands that City projects may involve coordination with multiple departments,
facility users, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. The firm will assist City staff in
managing this coordination while maintaining a clear understanding of project responsibilities and
established lines of authority.

Most importantly, Schindler will
listen. City staff bring valuable
knowledge of their facilities,
operations, and community
needs to each assignment.
Incorporating that knowledge
into the design process helps
the firm develop solutions that
are practical, appropriate, and
responsive to the City’s goals.
