Page 104CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH • RFQ #26-07-01 • CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL <br />ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES (CCNA) <br />rigid overlay and complete replacement of the coping lines. Bruce served as the design engineer for this project and was responsible for the design of the superstructure. The project was designed to the current AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications. <br />S.R. 135 over U.N.T. to Kiper Creek in Jackson County, Indiana | EOR on all structural items - This structure is a 24-foot-long flat-slab bridge. The existing end bents were rehabilitated. Bruce served as the design engineer for this project and was responsible for the design of the superstructure. The project was designed to the current AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications. <br />SR 61 over Carter Traylor Ditch in Boonville, Indiana | Project Engineer on all structural items - This project involved a continuous two-span bridge. The superstructure is a cast-in-place deck on hybrid bulb-tee prestressed concrete beams. The integral end bents are supported on steel h-piles. The interior support consists of a hammerhead pier on steel h-piles. The hammerhead pier’s steel h-piles were designed to withstand 23 feet of scour. Mr. Mahlie was responsible for all aspects of the bridge design and plan development. The structure was designed to the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Specifications. <br />I-69 over SR 54 and Tributary of Mitchell Branch in Greene County, Indiana | Project Engineer on geometry, end bent, and deck - This project involved twin skewed continuous two-span bridges on a curved alignment. The superstructures are cast-in-place decks on chorded hybrid bulb-tee prestressed concrete beams. The integral end bents are supported on steel h-piles. The interior piers are multi-column frame bent on caissons. Mr. Mahlie laid out the horizontal and vertical geometry as well as designed the decks and integral end bents. Bruce also reviewed the beam, pier, and caisson designs. The structures were designed to the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Specifications. <br />Access Road over Grassy Creek in Buchanan, Virginia | Project Engineer on all structural items - This project involved a single span bridge with integral abutments on steel H-Piles. Mr. Mahlie provided structural design services for the entire structure. The superstructure consists of prestressed side-by-side box girders with a non-integral wearing surface. Mr. Mahlie was responsible for all aspects of the bridge design and plan development. The structure was designed to the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Specifications. <br />US 40 over Noland’s Fork in Wayne County, Indiana | Checker on all structural items - This structure is a 216-foot long, three span, continuous, AASHTO Type III girder (prestress beam similar to a FIB) with a continuous cast in place deck and wall piers supported on pipe piles. Bruce was responsible for the quality assurance of the bridge plans and bridge design calculations. The project was designed to the current AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications. <br />SR 16 over Weesau Creek in Miami County, Indiana | Checker on all structural items - This structure is a 43-foot, 6-inch long, single span, reinforced concrete slab structure. The structure is supported on a semi-integral, 25-foot tall, retaining wall type abutment on a spread footer on battered and vertical H-piles. Bruce was responsible for the quality assurance of the bridge plans and bridge design calculations. The project was designed to the current AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications. <br />SR 356 over Mud Creek in Pike County, Indiana | Checker on all structural items - This structure is a 90-foot long, single span, prestressed, 36-inch Hybrid Bulb Tee Beam (Indiana equivalent to a FIB-36). The proposed single span is supported on fully integral abutments supporting on H-Piles. Bruce was responsible for the quality assurance of the bridge plans and bridge design calculations. The project was designed to the current AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications. <br />Beck Industrial Commerce Center Road over Nimishillen Creek in Stark County, OH | Project Engineer on end bent - This project involved twin continuous five-span bridges. The superstructure is a cast-in-place deck on bulb-tee prestressed concrete beams. The integral end bents are supported on steel h-piles. The piers consist of steel h-pile with concrete bent caps. Mr. Mahlie designed the integral end bents as well as reviewed the pier designs. The structures were designed to the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Specifications. <br />SR 59 over Conneley Ditch Clay County, Indiana | QC/Reviewer/Structural - This project involved replacing the concrete deck on an existing 586-foot long continuous rolled steel beam bridge. As part of this work, new shear studs were welded on the existing steel beams to create a fully composite section. The existing conventional abutments were converted to a semi-integral condition. The Structure was designed for AASHTO Seismic Zone 2. Bruce was responsible for the quality assurance of the bridge plans and bridge design calculations.
