<br />
<br />Mr. Tao has provided geotechnical engineering services on numerous geotechnical
<br />explorations over the past 12 years including roadways, commercial/residential high-rise
<br />buildings, residential developments, and industrial, military, medical, commercial, and
<br />educational facilities. Mr. Tao assists in report development and geotechnical analysis of
<br />deep and shallow foundations as well as retaining walls and stormwater facilities. Mr. Tao
<br />executes soil classification in accordance with AASHTO and ASTM classification systems
<br />and evaluates subsurface materials with respect to the project characteristics.
<br />Additionally, he coordinates laboratory testing on selected soil samples and performs
<br />quality control on laboratory results.
<br />Project Experience
<br /> Miscellaneous Engineering Services, Miami-Dade County, Florida Mr. Tao provides
<br />geotechnical engineering services under this task order contract. The contract scope
<br />includes roadway and drainage improvements, stormwater management, sea level rise
<br />adaptation and resilience planning, utility coordination, post-design services, and
<br />construction phase support. Mr. Tao supports geotechnical investigations, engineering
<br />analyses, and the development of geotechnical recommendations for a variety of
<br />infrastructure projects. His multidisciplinary technical background includes experience in
<br />civil engineering, structural engineering, environmental engineering, marine and coastal
<br />engineering, and Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services. This diverse
<br />expertise enables him to evaluate complex site conditions and provide practical
<br />engineering solutions that support project design, permitting, and construction activities.
<br /> District-Wide Materials Testing Geotechnical Support Contract Pavement Cores,
<br />FDOT District Six, Florida AREHNA provides geotechnical engineering services on an
<br />as-needed basis under this task-order contract, including subsurface exploration and
<br />evaluation, soil borings and classification, laboratory testing of materials, and geotechnical
<br />engineering analyses. Mr. Tao serves as the Project Geotechnical Engineer, responsible
<br />for coordinating field investigations and laboratory testing, performing geotechnical
<br />evaluations, and preparing engineering recommendations and reports to support project
<br />planning, design, and construction.
<br /> Geotechnical and Engineering Testing Service, City of Sunrise, Florida AREHNA
<br />serves as the Prime Consultant for this task-order contract, providing geotechnical
<br />engineering and construction materials testing services. Mr. Tao supports the contract
<br />through coordination of field investigations and laboratory testing, geotechnical analyses,
<br />and development of engineering recommendations. Projects completed under this
<br />contract include the Sawgrass Wastewater Treatment Plant Replacement and the pre-
<br />demolition assessment of two buildings at the Sawgrass Wastewater Treatment Plant.
<br /> NE 151st Street / Bay Vista Road Improvements, Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works Highway Division, Miami-Dade County, Florida Mr. Tao served as the Geotechnical Engineer for roadway improvements, which
<br />include roadway widening, drainage improvements, and mast arm structures. The existing four-lane divided Bay Vista Rd will be
<br />widened to a six-lane divided section. In addition, approximately 1,300 LF of new pipe alignment is proposed. Geotechnical
<br />recommendations included delineation of unsuitable soils (plastic and organic soils) and use of geogrid reinforcement.
<br /> Parks and Recreation Design Continuing Services, Broward County, Florida AREHNA provides geotechnical engineering services
<br />under this task-order contract for park improvement projects, including the construction of new grandstands, concrete concourses, and
<br />drainage system enhancements. Mr. Tao's responsibilities include coordinating field investigations and laboratory testing, pe rforming
<br />geotechnical analyses, and preparing geotechnical reports to support project design and construction.
