Page 82CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH • RFQ #26-07-01 • CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL <br />ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES (CCNA) <br />TAB 3 | STAFFING <br />Miami-Dade County TPO, General Planning Services Contract VIII, Miami, FL | Principal-in-Charge - In 2023, Corradino began collaborating with the TPO to update the Downtown Miami Transportation Master Plan, extending its planning horizon to 2045. This initiative employed a comprehensive and multifaceted approach to incorporate community feedback, assess evolving conditions, and integrate new technologies into the document updates. A central component of the project involved extensive public outreach. By using digital mapping software, residents identified and commented on specific areas of concern directly on an online public map. Additional tools, such as Mentimeter and custom surveys, further enabled stakeholders to provide real-time input on proposed initiatives and maintain complete transparency. The project team also conducted one-on-one interviews with resident groups, police, and various agency representatives involved in transportation development in Downtown Miami, supported by on-site visits that offered firsthand insights into existing conditions. <br />Miami-Dade County TPO, SMART Plan North Corridor General Planning Services, Miami, FL | Principal-in-Charge - Recognizing that transit-supportive land use plays a crucial role in the success of major rapid transit investments. This work order aimed to develop a Land Use Plan for the North Corridor of the SMART Plan, supporting transit. The North Corridor study focused on delivering premium transit along SR-9/SR-817/NW 27th Avenue. The corridor extended 13 miles from the Miami-Dade/Broward County Line to the Airport Expressway along NW 27th Avenue. It served historically underrepresented, low-income communities, providing an opportunity for improved access to jobs while establishing a key regional mobility link to the area’s job centers, stadium district, and higher education institutions. <br />Miami-Dade County TPO, SMART Plan North Corridor Economic Mobility & Accessibility, Miami, FL | Principal-in-Charge - The project included public on-street transit stations and stops located along the corridor. The study considered public and private facilities adjacent to or off the corridor, where potential park-and-ride and transit terminals (including the Miami-Dade College North Campus) were to be evaluated. The study of the southern project limits included consideration of two major terminals: the MIC and the proposed Downtown Miami Intermodal Terminal at Government Center, accessed via the Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Metrorail Station, located at NW 27th Avenue and NW 64th Street. Several studies conducted by DTPW, the Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization (TPO), and other partner agencies have been completed in recent years. <br />Miami-Dade County TPO, First-Mile/Last-Mile Mobility Study, Miami-Dade County, FL | Principal-in-Charge - This study evaluated the state of First-Mile/Last-Mile (FLM) mobility strategies and infrastructure nationwide. Beyond reviewing best practices for transference to the Miami-Dade area, the study explored basic urban travel demand assumptions, infrastructure characteristics, and mobility delivery models to develop a basis for a ground-up understanding of how and when to implement different FLM strategies based on development contexts and primary corridor transit characteristics. <br />Miami-Dade County TPO, Evaluation of Multimodal Options in South Miami-Dade County, FL | Principal-in-Charge - This project evaluated multimodal options in South Miami Dade, between Kendall Drive and Florida City, an area of approximately 200 sq. mi. The analysis included review of land use, existing transportation infrastructure, growth areas and their impacts on the future transportation network, leading to recommended roadway, pedestrian, bicycle, and transit projects. Key locations in South Miami-Dade that serve as natural junctions and needed to be further evaluated for transit-oriented development were also studied with recommendations for projects focused on the corridors between these hubs and the pedestrian and bicycle networks within each hub. In addition to developing new roadway connections, the report recommended approximately 10 new local circulator bus routes and bus lines and an expansion of the regional bicycle network. <br />City of Hallandale Beach, Transit Mobility Plan, Hallandale Beach, FL | Principal-in-Charge - This project evaluated the city’s prior Transportation Master Plan, with updates to local LOS determinations, intersection analyses, and planning for transit, pedestrian, and bicycle facilities. The analysis particularly focused on creating a new primary and secondary bicycle infrastructure grid, incorporated the basis of design reports and local district planning, and included recommendations for new roadway transit system development. <br />City of Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas Streetscape Corridor Study, Fort Lauderdale, FL | Principal-in-Charge - The City commissioned this Streetscape Corridor Analysis along Las Olas Boulevard to further identify opportunities and challenges to provide key components of a vision that will ground the future development of the area. The City of Fort Lauderdale is committed to promoting safe, accessible, multi-modal travel evidenced by its implementation of Complete Streets and Vision Zero policy. As the major thoroughfare connecting Downtown Fort Lauderdale and Central Beach, Las Olas Boulevard must balance moving people efficiently through a balance of transportation needs, inclusive of pedestrian, bicycling, vehicular, and transit modes, with space programmed to safely accommodate other alternative modes of transportation such as scooters. The Conceptual Design included a consensus vision that enhances the branding for the Boulevard and the City’s branding as both an international destination and the place for live, work, and play in South Florida.
