HBC Engineering Company | 142 <br />utility relocations, extending the left turn lane, and constructing a traffic <br />separator that will close the existing median opening on S.R. 630/U.S. 98 just <br />west of U.S. 27 to improve safety. During construction, CSX will improve the <br />railroad tracks west of U.S. 27. This work requires S.R. 630/U.S. 98 to close <br />completely with traffic detoured for approximately two weeks. <br />Location: Frostproof, FL. Dates: 2024–2025. Reference: Michael Schawe, (407) <br />687-8148, mschawe@hbcengineeringco.com. <br />*Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Supervisor and Project Foreman. <br />Jay was responsible for the day to night oversight of multiple work crews, and assisting with and monitoring <br />roadwork, paving, Signing and Pavement Marking (S&PM), drilled shafts, mast arm uprights and installations, <br />signalization, conduit for signals, pull box installation, pulling wire for same, signal controller box foundation and <br />cabinet installations, and tracking daily quantities for the work in progress. In addition, Jay coordinated the daily <br />work of subcontractors to avoid conflicts with other work crews, and was responsible for the closing and opening <br />of lanes and/or work areas, per FDOT Standard 600 Index. <br />Location: Southwest Ranches, FL. Dates: 2018–2023. Reference: Asphalt Paving Company, (954) 680-8005. <br />*Loader Operator/Maintenance of Traffic (MOT). <br />Jay performed day to night operations, loaded and hauled materials on and off the job sites, performed earthwork, <br />including subgrade, lime rock, and grading; laid drainage pipe, backfilled trenches, compacted backfill, assisted <br />with densities, and closed and opened lanes and/or work areas, per FDOT Standard 600 Index, including MAS <br />systems. <br />Location: West Palm Beach, FL. Dates: 2016–2018. Reference: (561) 793-9400. <br />*Loader Operator/Maintenance of Traffic (MOT). <br />Jay worked on the Hillsboro Canal Beautification Project. Jay loaded trucks and barges with excavated materials, <br />fueled and lubricated equipment, installed TRM, graded canal banks, installed drainage and outfalls to Hillsboro <br />Canal, and closed and opened lanes and/or work areas, per FDOT Standard 600 Index. <br />Location: West Palm Beach, FL.
