<br />Maikel is a professional Electrical Engineer with 25 years of experience
<br />spanning roadway, bridge, navigational, and pedestrian lighting design,
<br />lighting retrofits, power system protection, and power distribution. He has
<br />served as Lighting Engineer and Electrical Engineer on numerous FDOT,
<br />Miami-Dade County, and municipal corridor projects, delivering LED
<br />conversions, photometric analyses, and intersection lighting improvements.
<br />His clients include FDOT Districts 4 and 6, the Greater Miami Expressway
<br />Agency, Miami-Dade County DTPW, Palm Beach County, and coastal
<br />municipalities such as the City of Fort Lauderdale. Maikel also brings project

<br />As Electrical Engineer, Maikel leads the lighting improvements for the corridor,
<br />including the design for replacement of the existing High-Pressure Sodium
<br />(HPS) lighting system with a new Light-Emitting Diode (LED) lighting system.
<br />The new roadway lighting is designed for installation along the corridor's
<br />outside shoulders, with removal of the existing HPS system under this project.

<br />Maikel directs the lighting design along the Venetian Causeway from N.
<br />Bayshore Drive to Purdy Avenue, including new bridge-mounted lighting
<br />and navigation lights, as applicable, for the 11 bridges to be replaced. He
<br />coordinates the design across the coastal corridor to meet roadway and
<br />navigational lighting requirements.

<br />City of Fort Lauderdale, Riverwalk North Seawall Replacement
<br />Maikel leads the electrical system improvements, including load capacity,
<br />wire sizing, and voltage drop analysis for the proposed improvements. The
<br />design follows NFPA 303 and NEC Article 555, and includes replacement of
<br />existing electrical shore-tie pedestals and pier lighting using marine-grade
<br />louvered concrete bollards with Turtle Safe-Certified wildlife lighting fixtures
<br />to meet saltwater resistance and sea turtle conservancy requirements.
