Reference: Ben Luke, ben.luke@ <br />greshamsmith.com <br />Miami-Dade WASD, Ocean Outfall Legislation Projects Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant Effluent Energy Recovery System (EERS) and <br />Renewable Energy. <br />Electrical Engineer supporting the Central (CDWWTP) and South (SDWWTP) EERS <br />and Renewable Energy Program for Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department. <br />Primary responsibilities include performing quantity takeoffs and supporting cost <br />estimates based on multi-phase design documents (conceptual, 60%, 90%, and <br />final), as well as conducting electrical design review and coordination to ensure <br />accurate scope definition. Work involves reviewing plans and specifications <br />to develop material quantities, validating design consistency for estimating <br />purposes, and coordinating with civil, mechanical, and controls teams. The <br />project includes a new EERS building, renewable energy systems, and associated <br />electrical, instrumentation, and control infrastructure, including major equipment <br />such as pumps, heat exchangers, fire pump systems, electrical rooms, and a <br />ground-mounted photovoltaic system. Responsibilities also include supporting <br />constructability reviews, permits, documenting quantity assumptions, and <br />aligning estimates with WASD standards and project requirements. <br />Location: Miami-Dade County, FL.
