<br />Mr. Mohler brings over three decades of project experience in parks, streetscapes, hospitality, PUDs, and
<br />commercial development. Professional services frequently include initial data collection and observation,
<br />site analysis, concept and design development, and complete site, landscape, and irrigation design,
<br />including construction oversight and inspection services. Previously, Mr. Mohler designed, tested,
<br />inspected, and managed central control irrigation systems. His thorough understanding of water, soils,
<br />and plants within the built environment afforded him decades of successful consulting career in the
<br />private sector, including irrigation water management through advanced technologies like soil moisture
<br />sensing, weather stations, and computerized central control systems.
<br />Project Experience
<br />5th Street Play Spot, Miami-Dade County. Miami, FL. Senior Landscape
<br />Architect. KCI prepared design development drawings and is working
<br />on the construction documents related to implementing improvements
<br />to this park site in a dense urban area. KCI performed site analysis
<br />and inventory, created concept designs and budgeting, and worked
<br />with Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces to
<br />realize their vision. The programmed elements include a nature-based
<br />playground (ages 2-5 and 5-12), hardscape improvements, site lighting,
<br />park site amenities (benches, trash cans, dog waste stations), walkway
<br />through the site, landscape improvements, irrigation system, entrance
<br />improvements, and fencing.
<br />Lyons Road Phase V, City of Coconut Creek. Coconut Creek, FL.
<br />Landscape Architect. KCI developed a master plan for the enhancement
<br />of a seven-mile corridor project. This initiative included the development
<br />of a cohesive landscape and hardscape design, gateway enhancements
<br />at major intersections, and the realignment of sidewalks. KCI also
<br />produced design and construction drawings for all phases of the project,
<br />which featured improvements in median landscaping, hardscaping, and
<br />irrigation. Spanning from Atlantic Boulevard to Coconut Creek Parkway,
<br />this stretch was the final section of the master plan. The project involved
<br />landscaping, hardscaping, irrigation, and obtaining the necessary permits
<br />through Broward County.
<br />Loxahatchee Environmental Engagement Campus, Loxahatchee River Environmental Control District. Jupiter, FL.
<br />Project Manager. KCI provided master site planning services to the Loxahatchee River Environmental Control District
<br />(LRECD) for this 20-acre site. KCI performed site analysis and inventory, created concept designs and budgeting, and
<br />worked with LRECD to realize a master plan capturing their vision. The master plan for the Environmental Engagement
<br />Campus showcases the function of the LRECD within the unique local environment, including the Loxahatchee River, and
<br />the stewardship of which is the focus of LRECD’s mission.
<br />Washington Park, City of North Miami Beach. North Miami Beach, FL. Project Manager. KCI is providing professional
<br />landscape architectural, civil, and survey services to the City of North Miami Beach in support of the complete replacement
<br />of Washington Park. The park is located in the City’s historic neighborhood of the same name. The park will include a
<br />community center, pool and splashpad, playground, covered basketball courts, restrooms, parking, multi-purpose field,
<br />landscape, and irrigation. Retrofitting of sidewalks and play areas were designed for ADA compliance.
<br />Hillsboro El Rio Park, Phase II, City of Boca Raton. Boca Raton, FL. Project Manager. KCI provided professional
<br />landscape architecture, engineering, survey, and environmental services to the City of Boca Raton for the design and
<br />site plan approval of a 17-acre park. The Park features include entry signage, a grand pavilion and restroom, large and
<br />small pavilions with grills, a fitness path, large passive recreation areas, a non-motorized boat launch, sport courts, a large
<br />playground, shade structures, and a fitness station. Due to the site’s historical and past uses as a landfill, redevelopment
<br />required stormwater permitting through FDEP. ICPR Version 4 was used to model the Master Drainage System. Stormwater
<br />permitting submittals through FDEP were required, as was coordination with ACOE for wetland determination.
