<br />Terramar Park, City of Parkland. Parkland, FL. Landscape Architect. KCI provided site design through construction
<br />administration for this municipal park renovation. The renovation included: two multi-purpose fields with a new covered
<br />bleacher seating area, new athletic field lighting and upgrades to existing athletic field lighting, new concrete walkways
<br />and resurfacing of existing asphalt walkways, landscaping, fencing, irrigation and drainage improvements. As the prime
<br />consultant, KCI services included project management, survey, civil engineering, landscape architecture, permitting,
<br />bidding assistance, and construction phase services. This project was completed under a Miscellaneous Professional
<br />Services contract.
<br />Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Expansion of Runways, Broward County. Fort Lauderdale, FL.
<br />Landscape Architect. KCI provided a variety of services under a miscellaneous survey services contract for the Fort
<br />Lauderdale- Hollywood International Airport expansion project. Services included the verification of horizontal and
<br />vertical control, as-builts of columns, layout and verification of settlement plates and MSE wall, preparation of sketch and
<br />legal descriptions for easements relative to Part 77 surfaces, preparation of digital terrain model surfaces, and volume
<br />calculations. Mr. Mohler utilized data obtained from aerial LiDAR imaging to field survey 900 trees in potential conflict with
<br />international airport aviation clear zones, as mandated by the Federal Aviation Administration.
<br />Prospect Road from Commercial Blvd to SR 811/North Dixie Highway, CHA Consulting, Inc. (Formerly Known as: A&P
<br />Consulting Transportation Engineers, Corp). Broward County, FL. Landscape Architect. This urban project included
<br />minor widening and lane narrowing to incorporate bike lanes along this four-lane divided highway. A tree inventory was
<br />conducted, and a tree disposition created with detail for root and canopy pruning. An irrigation sleeving plan was included
<br />for a future beautification project on the six-lane section.
<br />69th St Greenway, City of Coconut Creek. Coconut Creek, FL. Landscape Architect. KCI developed the design and
<br />construction drawings of lighting, planting and irrigation plans for the NW 69th Street Greenway (from the west side of the
<br />water tank site to western canal edge at West Creek Pineland Preserve-approximately 2,300 linear feet.)
<br />Cougar Trail, City of Coconut Creek. Coconut Creek, FL. Landscape Architect. KCI provided landscape design services
<br />and post-design inspections for this streetscape, including tree inventory, new landscaping, and irrigation design. This
<br />project was a streetscape and beautification effort located in the City of Coconut Creek near Coconut Creek High
<br />School. The design project also involved an arborist’s tree inventory, evaluation of existing trees within the right-of-way,
<br />and clearing invasive species along the canal bank. Mr. Mohler provided a tree inventory and evaluation, landscape and
<br />irrigation design, and utility coordination.
<br />Landscape Code Field Review and Reporting Sweep Swet at 24 Sites, City of Port St. Lucie. Port St. Lucie, FL. Senior
<br />Landscape Architect. KCI was engaged by the City of Port St. Lucie to perform a thorough landscape code compliance
<br />review, known as “Sweep Set 4,” for developed sites east of US 1. The objective was to assess the current landscape
<br />conditions against the City’s adopted codes and identify any shortcomings. Using historical and approved landscape plans
<br />supplied by the City, KCI examined each site, noting specific compliance issues and omissions for clarity. These marked-up
<br />plans were incorporated into the City’s reporting system to support consistent enforcement. The final review provides an
<br />organized summary of compliance gaps, helping the City prioritize actions and improve aesthetic appeal and environmental
<br />standards along the US 1 corridor
<br />Design Guidelines for Major Thoroughfares, Lake Worth Beach Community Redevelopment Agency. Lake Worth
<br />Beach, FL. Landscape Architect. KCI was commissioned for the creation of design guidelines after a re-write of the land
<br />development code, which will be incorporated into the Code of Ordinances by reference. The document references
<br />the code requirements, provides best urban design practices, honors the historic districts, and includes graphics and
<br />illustrations that establish the architectural standards for new development. Mr. Mohler created a user-friendly plant palette
<br />for each of the City’s seven major thoroughfares. This plant palette was incorporated into the Design Guidelines in order
<br />to guide thoughtful and context sensitive private development in the City of Lake Worth. The plant palette was based on
<br />existing zoning, proposed uses, building height, building setback, right-of-way area, and road characteristics.
