HBC Engineering Company | 24 <br />Basin H1 Stormwater Improvements Project <br />City of Belle Glade <br />This project involves the implementation of the City of Belle Glade’s <br />Stormwater Master Plan for Basin H1. Funded through the Florida <br />Department of Commerce’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br />Mitigation (MIT) program, HBC played a key role in supporting the City <br />by preparing and submitting all required forms and reports to ensure <br />the timely reimbursement of funds. <br />Basin H is the largest drainage basin identified in the Stormwater Master <br />Plan, and HBC was responsible for the Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) <br />design and analysis of Basin H1, which encompasses approximately 48 <br />acres. The Interconnected Channel and Pond Routing (ICPR) model was <br />utilized to evaluate proposed conditions and to incorporate additional <br />upstream flow contributions, in accordance with the adopted Stormwater <br />Master Plan. <br />HBC was selected to provide engineering services to: <br />• Address ponding issues and flooding near City Hall and reduce flood <br />risks <br />• Efficiently capture and filter pollutants from stormwater runoff <br />• Ensure safe and reliable infrastructure, and create a safer environment <br />• Install a hydrodynamic stormwater treatment device to address the <br />water quality of the stormwater runoff <br />Location <br />Belle Glade, FL <br />Dates <br />2023 - Ongoing <br />Budget <br />HBC Fee: $343K <br />Construction Cost: $5.3M <br />Reference <br />Keith R.
