HBC Engineering Company | 32 <br />Riviera Beach Water Treatment Plant (WTP) <br />Design-Build Project Phase 1 <br />City of Riviera Beach <br />HBC Engineering Company was a key contributor to the progressive design- <br />build effort for the City of Riviera Beach’s Advanced Water Treatment Plant at <br />the Avenue L parcel. The Phase 1 scope focused on comprehensive design and <br />engineering services, supporting the development of a 12.0 Million Gallons per <br />Day (MGD) advanced water treatment facility expandable to 16.0 MGD, along <br />with associated infrastructure upgrades. <br />The key project components included: <br />• Water Treatment and Storage Facilities: Design of an advanced treatment <br />facility, a new ground storage reservoir, and a finished water pump station to <br />enhance capacity and efficiency. <br />• Groundwater Supply Wells and Transmission Improvements: Engineering <br />new wells for the Floridan and Surficial Aquifer Systems and designing <br />18,000 linear feet of raw water transmission mains, including hydraulic <br />modeling and transient surge analysis. <br />• Site and Utility Development: Stormwater management systems, paving and <br />grading, and raw water yard piping for the Avenue L and Avenue U parcels. <br />• Supporting Infrastructure: Planning and layout for administrative buildings, <br />maintenance shops, and utility operations facilities. <br />• Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Secured necessary permits, <br />reviewed environmental site assessments, and ensured compliance with <br />local and state regulations. <br />HBC provided significant expertise in site/civil design, permitting, and project <br />management, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and regulatory <br />requirements. <br />Location <br />Riviera Beach, FL <br />Dates <br />2022 - Ongoing <br />Budget <br />HBC Fee: $ 2.1 M <br />Reference <br />Steven V.
