HBC Engineering Company | 37 <br />Brighton Indian Reservation Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant Expansion <br />Seminole Tribe of Florida <br />HBC led the expansion and modernization of the Seminole Tribe of Florida <br />(STOF) Brighton Indian Reservation Wastewater Treatment Plant, located <br />on approximately 20.3 acres in Glades County, Florida. This project involved <br />replacing outdated wastewater treatment facilities with new, advanced <br />infrastructure, including buildings, roadways, and an upgraded wastewater <br />pump station, to meet the growing needs of the community. <br />HBC’s responsibilities encompassed a broad range of site civil design <br />tasks essential for sustainable water resource management. The firm <br />designed efficient pavement structures, optimized site grading for improved <br />stormwater runoff management, and implemented an integrated stormwater <br />catchment system with advanced catch basins and piping solutions. <br />Additionally, HBC developed stormwater treatment and storage systems <br />to ensure effective water management while maintaining environmental <br />compliance. <br />As part of the infrastructure upgrades, HBC designed a state-of-the-art <br />stormwater discharge structure to safely and efficiently manage water flow, <br />minimizing environmental impact. The project also included the design of <br />potable water distribution systems and fire protection water systems, further <br />demonstrating HBC’s expertise in complex utility design.
