Summary Minutes:Reeular City Commission Meeting February 19,2015 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida this a couple of months ago based on the guidelines that the State sent us. They have made a couple of minor changes since then. This was the requirement with the approval for the $500,000 State Grant that we got for Gateway Park. We had to put in a Restrictive Covenant to use it for a Park for at least 10 years. Public Speakers: None Commissioner Aelion moved and Vice Mayor Gatto seconded a motion to approve the resolution. Resolution No. 2015-2382 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. 10I. Add-On: Resolutions Authorizing the Grant Pay-Off to the Department of Environmental Protection and Approving the Release and Cancellation of Declaration of Restrictions for 500 Sunny Isles Boulevard: 10I.1 A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida.Authorizing the City Manager to Issue Pay-Off Amount Not to Exceed S178,191.93 to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection ("DEP") to Refund Grant Provided to the City;Providing the City Manager with the City Attorney with the Authority to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. Action: [City Clerk's Note: Both Resolutions were heard together.] City Clerk Hines read the title,and City Manager Russo reported that this is the return of grant money for the Bella Vista Bay Park property that we have now sold. If for some reason the sale does not get totally completed, we would be applying for a different grant anyway but this was a requirement of it. This was taken into consideration in the purchase price. City Attorney Ottinot said that closing was tentatively scheduled for February 23, 2015 however Rabbi Kaller has asked for a two-day extension which we gave to him.
