Schedule Control: It's More Than the Critical Path
We will develop the most accurate CPM schedule depicting all critical path activities from design
through post construction, allowing management to properly focus on what needs improvement. Our
design QA /QC plan uses periodic detailed reviews of the project schedule to verify that progress is not
being misrepresented.
The project schedule, inclusive of the design phase, will be updated on a strict time frame. Upon the earliest
indication that an item is not progressing as anticipated, we will take immediate corrective action. This
continuous monitoring and testing of the schedule provides the assurances that the project is on track.
E Continuous Updating of Activities and Milestones
E Resource Balancing
■ "What If' Scenarios
• Float Analysis
• Activity Re- Sequencing
• Quantity Tracking
r1
Monitoring and Maintaining the Schedule
A typical industry practice is to update the project CPM schedule one time per month to be submitted with
the project pay application. In addition, we provide a three -week look -ahead schedule as a valuable tool to
communicate short term progress and activities, understanding the impacts to the entire project's schedule
based on those short term activities that is even more critical. The three -week look -ahead schedule helps to
ensure these short term activities are not overlooked.
• Consistency
• Commodity Curves and Tracking
■ Play of the Day Coordination Meetings
■ Weekly Schedule Meetings
■ 3 -week Look -Ahead Schedules
■ 90 -day Schedules
■ Earned Man -hours
■ Revenue Curves
o
MKiewitConstruction of the North Bay Road Pedestrian Emergency Bridge I No. 14 -09 -01
