MC)SS <br />January 13, 2014 <br />City of Sunny Isles <br />Re: New Bridge Project <br />Subj: Kiewit <br />To Whom It May Concern: <br />This is to advise that we subcontracted with Kiewit for the Bridge portion of a project we <br />did at Port Everglades during 2009. It was a bridge across the FPL Discharge Canal <br />that enabled cargo trucks to pass from Southport to Midport without having to leave the <br />secured areas of the Port. <br />It was a challenging project because all of the in -water work had to be completed within <br />6 months of the signing of the subcontract. That deadline was critical because Manatee <br />season started at the end of that 6 -month period and no water work would have been <br />allowed to continue until the following year. <br />Kiewit managed to get FAA clearance (we were in the flight path of FLL) for their crane <br />and were able to deliver the in -water work on time.
