All 36’ Precast Concrete I-beams to be fabricated in accordance with FDOT Standard <br />Specifications for Road and Bridge Design and Index 20510, cast with galvanized metal <br />inserts and embedded bearing plates and shall be set on Type “D” Composite Elastomeric <br />Bearing Pads. <br />4.6. All Rectangular Haunched Precast Concrete Beams to be fabricated in accordance with <br />FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Design and Index , cast with <br />galvanized metal inserts and embedded bearing plates and shall be set on Type “D” <br />Composite Elastomeric Bearing Pads. <br />4.7. Remove the final section of southern side trestle after the 36” I-beams and Rectangular <br />Haunched Beams between bents 3 and 2 are set and temporarily braced. <br />4.8. Immediately following approval and casing removal for Bent No. 4 Drilled shafts, form <br />and place the cast in place concrete pile cap and beam seats. The drilled shaft temporary <br />falsework shall be used to support the formwork during placement. <br />4.9. Remove bent 4 falsework after the cast in place concrete cap have achieved 28-day <br />strength <br />4.10. Utilize the trestle on the North side of the bridge to set the 36” I-beams between bents 3 <br />and 4. <br />4.11. Remove trestle between bents 4 and 5 after 36” I-beams between bents 3 and 4 are set and <br />temporarily braced. <br />4.12. Immediately following approval and casing removal for Bent No. 5 Drilled shafts, form <br />and place the cast in place concrete pile cap and beam seats. The drilled shaft temporary <br />falsework shall be used to support the formwork during placement <br />4.13. Removal of falsework after the cast in place concrete caps have achieved 28-day strength <br />4.14. Utilize the trestle section between End Bent #6 and Bent #5 to walk the lattice boom <br />crawler crane out close enough to set the precast concrete 36” I-Beams and Rectangular <br />Haunched Beams. <br />4.15. Remove the final sections of Northern side trestle after the 36” I-beams and Rectangular <br />Haunched Beams between bents 4 and 5 are set and temporarily braced. <br /> <br />5. End Bents and Retaining Walls <br />5.1. After End Bent Drilled shafts are complete and trestle is removed, prior to installation of <br />the 36” I-beams and Rectangular Haunched Beams at each end bent. <br />5.2. Perform slope grading, removal and install the articulated block mat <br />5.3. After soil improvement and owner/engineer approval, Furnish and install the Install the <br />MSE Wall leveling pad footers and install the approved MSE panels for walls MSEW-1A, <br />1C, 2A, 2B, and 2C. The proprietary MSE wall system shall be either Reinforced Earth or <br />Tensar and shall be installed in accordance with FDOT Standard Specifications for Road <br />and Bridge Construction and in accordance with Index No. 5300. A total of 1,887 SF of <br />MSE wall shall be installed. <br />5.4. After backfill to bottom of end bent pile cap, form and place cast in place end bent
