Damp Mopping <br /> <br />Floors shall have a uniform appearance with no streaks, swirl marks, detergent residue or any <br />evidence of soil. There shall be no splash marks or mop streaks on furniture, walls, baseboards, <br />etc., or mop strands remaining in the area. <br /> <br />C. Equipment and Material <br /> <br />All pieces of equipment will be clean and properly placed in their assigned storage locations. <br />Any unused detergent will be returned to its assigned storage location. <br /> <br />D. ELEVATORS <br /> <br /> Vacuum Cleaning and Dusting Interior surfaces of elevators should be free of loose dirt and <br />dust streaks. <br /> Cleaning, Polishing and Wall Spotting Doors, handrails, controls and other surfaces should be <br />clean and polished. Walls should be free of finger marks, smudges and foreign <br />material. <br /> Mopping, Waxing and Polishing <br /> Elevators walls will be free of splash marks. Floors, including corners and threshold plate, <br />should be clean, and floors will be cleaned per carpet inspection guide. <br /> <br />E. FLOORS (NON-CARPETED) <br /> <br />Preparation for Mopping. The entire floor surface shall be dust mopped. <br />Cleaning solutions, where used, must have been mixed thoroughly and in the proportions <br />specified in approved product tests without undue spillage of either solution or rinse water. <br /> <br />Proper precautions will be taken to advise building occupants of wet and/or slippery floor <br />conditions, and suitable safety warning signs will be erected. <br /> <br />Care will be taken to prevent damage to furnishings, etc. The space to be mopped will be <br />properly prepared for the mopping operation by sweeping the floor area as necessary and <br />otherwise clearing it of visible debris. <br /> <br />F. Floor Mopping <br /> <br />The mopping work will be performed in such a manner as to properly clean the floor surface, <br />care having been taken to see that the correct type and mixture of leaning solution, if required, <br />has been used. <br /> <br />All mopped areas will be clean and free from dirt, streaks, detergent residue, mop marks and <br />strands, etc., properly rinsed, if required, and dry mopped to present an overall appearance of <br />cleanliness. <br />
