Michael is a graduate of Florida International University. <br />He assists the entire project team, working directly with the Project Manager and <br />Superintendent assisting in contract administration and coordination of work. Some <br />of his specific project job tasks include, coordinating and reviewing all submittals for <br />compliance with Contract Documents and schedule, generating and maintaining <br />RFI’s and meeting minutes, coordinating and monitoring material/equipment <br />deliveries of long lead items for compliance with schedule and approved submittals, <br />reviewing and submitting all O&M Manuals and Close-Out Documents, assisting <br />superintendent with quality control, and assisting Project Manager with schedule <br />updates, preparation of requisitions and other duties as requested. CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACTS, Miami, FL <br />Cost: $80.1 M | Delivery Method: CM At-Risk <br />Scope of Work: The Miscellaneous Construction Cost (MCC) is a Program created <br />specifically for quick turn-around projects. It is designed to give CSBE firms the <br />opportunity to perform work at MIA and the County’s five other airports. Emphasis <br />of the Program is to assist the small firms to succeed and grow through their MCC <br />experience. MCC is unique because it focuses on the small contractor by dividing <br />projects into trade packages. This procedure allows for packages by trade to be <br />smaller, therefore not requiring a bond in most cases. The CSBE’s are able to receive <br />training in any area of construction from preparing bids, schedules, as well as other <br />documents and forms. This training can be done one-on-one as requested, or through <br />the seminar provided throughout the contract. As an added feature, the Construction <br />Licensing Board usually certifies the seminars and Continuing Education credits are <br />given.
