Webb Management Services Inc. 5 <br />work plan <br />scope of services <br />Following the timeline and scope requirements presented in the RFP, we have organized <br />our work plan into three parts that encompass the work of collecting information and <br />conducting research, developing a vision for the future of the arts and culture in Sunny <br />Isles Beach, and then using that information to develop specific policies, strategies, and <br />implementation plans. Specific community engagement is scheduled to take place in all <br />three phases, and in particularly at the end of each phase. <br />part one: needs analysis <br />In our first part of work, the consultant team would work with the City and Sunny Isles <br />Beach Foundation to gather information on the general state of the arts in Sunny Isles, <br />existing programs, services and facilities, and Sunny Isles Beach itself. The purpose of this <br />exercise would be to understand past and present arts offerings and the opportunities for <br />policies and programs in the future based on the City’s vision, the needs of the community, <br />and the larger forces and trends affecting cultural and community development. <br />materials review: Review materials on the arts and Sunny Isles Beach, including but not <br />limited to: <br />Policy, planning, and strategic context documents, including any data or results <br />from the ongoing Comprehensive and Transportation Master Planning Processes; <br /> Existing Office of Cultural + Community Services policy and governance documents, <br />and data on recent activities and participation; <br /> Planning and policy documents and annual reports from the recently established <br />Sunny Isles Beach Foundation and the Art in Public Places Program; and <br /> Existing research on the market for cultural participation and philanthropy in Sunny <br />Isles Beach and the region. <br />market assessment: Examine the market for the arts in Sunny Isles Beach past, <br />present, and future, studying population trends in terms of size and relevant demographic <br />characteristics. Also identify and explore broader issues that may have a bearing on <br />the future of cultural participation in Sunny Isles Beach, including research on arts <br />attendance, technology, and trends in consumer behavior. This effort includes the following <br />components: <br />resident market: Analyze the demographic indicators of arts and culture <br />consumption, including population growth, educational attainment (the single <br />best predictor of cultural attendance), income level, language spoken at home, <br />households with children, and more.
