SAMSON OCEANFRONT PARK <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES <br />TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br />DEMOLITION 02050-2 <br /> <br />1. The CONTRACTOR shall conduct operations and the removal of debris to ensure minimum <br />interference with existing access roads and other adjacent occupied or used facilities. <br />2. Do not close, block or otherwise obstruct access roads or other occupied or used facilities <br />without permission from the ENGINEER. <br /> <br />G. The CONTRACTOR shall promptly repair damages caused to adjacent facilities by demolition <br />operations at no cost to the ENGINEER. <br /> <br />1.07 <br /> <br />CERTIFICATIONS AND TESTING: (Not Used) <br />1.08 INSPECTION COORDINATION: <br /> <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall provide access to the WORK for the <br />ENGINEER as requested for inspection. The CONTRACTOR shall provide 48 hours notice of its intention to <br />begin new WORK activities. <br />1.09 <br /> <br />WARRANTY: (Not Used) <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 <br /> <br />SALVAGE MATERIALS: <br />A. The CONTRACTOR shall salvage and store the following material: <br />1. None. The CONTRACTOR shall use extreme care not to damage the equipment and <br />material during their removal and replacement. <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 <br /> <br />DEMOLITION: <br />A. The CONTRACTOR shall provide services for effective air and water pollution controls as required <br />by local authorities having jurisdiction. <br /> <br />B. If hazardous materials are found, the CONTRACTOR shall notify the ENGINEER immediately. <br /> <br />C. The CONTRACTOR shall completely backfill below-grade areas and voids resulting from demolition <br />work. The CONTRACTOR shall provide fill consisting of approved soil, gravel or sand (free of trash <br />and debris) and compact fill to approximate density of surrounding native soil. <br /> <br />3.02 DISPOSAL OF DEMOLISHED MATERIALS <br /> <br />: <br />A. The CONTRACTOR shall remove debris, rubbish, and other materials resulting from demolition <br />operations. <br /> <br />B. If hazardous materials are encountered during demolition operations, the CONTRACTOR shall <br />comply with applicable regulations, laws, and ordinances concerning removal, handling and <br />protection against exposure or environmental pollution. <br /> <br />C. The CONTRACTOR shall transport materials removed from demolished structures and properly <br />dispose of them at an approved site according to the State, Federal and local regulations. <br /> <br />3.03 CONNECTIONS TO EXISTING CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />: <br />A. The CONTRACTOR shall cut and remove portions of existing construction as required to allow <br />proper installation of new construction. Saw cut lines shall be neat straight lines. <br />
