Summary of Work: The CONTRACTOR shall include the removal of trees and other vegetation <br />from areas where earthwork or other construction operations specified herein are to be performed. <br />This section also includes land preparation activities for excavation and fill areas. <br /> <br />B. Prior to beginning the work, CONTRACTOR shall submit a detailed plan for clearing and land <br />preparation in conformance with SECTION 01300. The plan shall detail the sequence of work and <br />describe the CONTRACTOR's planned method of clearing and land preparation activities. <br /> <br />1.05 <br /> <br />QUALIFICATIONS: (Not Used) <br />1.06 <br /> <br />RESPONSIBILITIES: <br />A. The CONTRACTOR shall ensure the safe passage of persons around areas of clearing and land <br />preparation. The CONTRACTOR shall conduct its operations to prevent injury to adjacent <br />structures, vegetation designated to remain, other facilities and persons. <br /> <br />B. Traffic: <br />1. The CONTRACTOR shall conduct its operations and the removal of cleared materials to <br />ensure minimum interference with existing access roads and other adjacent occupied or <br />used facilities. <br />2. The CONTRACTOR shall not block or otherwise obstruct access roads or other occupied <br />or used facilities without permission from the ENGINEER. Where blockage is allowed, <br />the CONTRACTOR shall provide alternate routes around closed or obstructed traffic <br />ways. <br /> <br />C. The CONTRACTOR may commence clearing or land preparation within portions of the project <br />falling within the limits of temporary construction easements or utility right-of-way only with <br />specific permission from the ENGINEER for each activity and location. All requirements under A <br />and B above apply within these limits. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.07 CERTIFICATIONS AND TESTING: (Not Used)
