SCOPE UNDERSTANDING <br /> As requested in the RFQ, we will describe our firm's understanding and strengths in the following types of <br /> projects: <br /> 1. Drainage System Designs <br /> 2. Stormwater <br /> Drainage System Design projects could include design for park projects, street drainage, flood control <br /> projects and drainage improvement projects. In Miami-Dade County and in particular near coastal areas, <br /> drainage engineers must be familiar with design of French drains, marine outfalls, and injection wells (both <br /> gravity and pressurized). Vazquez, PE, PH, BCEE and by <br /> our Water Resources Director, Mr. David Boyer, PE. <br /> Following is a synopsis of their experience. <br /> Mr. Vazquez has over 26 years of engineering experience, including extensive experience in stormwater <br /> and municipal projects. He is a professional Hydrologist and a Board Certified Environmental Engineer <br /> with specialization in water supply and wastewater. He has designed miles of French drain systems and <br /> hundreds of stormwater injection wells. He is co-author of the FDOT Exfiltration Trench Design Manual in <br /> particular the Chapter on injection wells. He has designed new outfalls into the Intracoastal Waterway, <br /> Miami River, and many other canals in South Florida.
