Currently, Corradino is working for the ® Broward MPO as their general planning/engineering consultant. 0 ® LONG RANGE TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ® Corradino is the developer of the South East Florida Regional Planning Model, ® (SERPM). This is the transportation planning model that all South Florida MPOs ® use when they conduct their long range transportation plans (LRTP). Corradino ® has conducted similar LRTPs across the nation. These programs project a 25- ® year time horizon. ® As projects move from the latter years of an LRTP toward implementation, they ® are subject to more formal analysis. For complex projects, they must undergo ® scrutiny in light of environmental concerns and public review to select a locally- ® preferred alternative. These occur in Project Development 'and Environment studies (PD&E) as well as Alternatives Analyses (AA). Corradino has successfully ® performed multiple PD&E and AA studies over the past decodes. Some of these ® have led to ground-breaking projects: The US-1 PD&E study selected a preferred ® alternative and alignment for one of the nation's first Bus Rapid Transit systems. ® As part of this paradigm-shifting project, roadway capacity *as converted to ® transit capacity. .Land use was deeply considered, resulting in evaluating ® pockets of density along US-1 in South Dade, which would ultimately be built as ® Transit Oriented Developments, feeding the transit capacity, and assisting in the ® maintenance of the Urban Development Boundary., _More recently, the 1-95 ® Express project explored-the concept of managed lanes on 1=95, allowing for a variable toll in coordination with 'bus rapid transit, which effectively created a ® transit link between Downtown Fort Lauderdale and•Downtown,Miami. This was ® also one of the first projects of its kind. • ® DESIGN / ® As locally-preferred alternatives are selected, they move into more formal ® designs and then construction. This is when they move to the first 5 years of the ® LRTP, which is known as the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). ® Corradino has designed all manner of roadway, streetscape, and traffic- calming projects. For the City of Hialeah, Corradino played an integral role in ® the infrastructure-redevelopment process undertaken over the last decade. ® Corradino performed dozens of roadway designs, taking them through the permitting and construction management processes.
