Master planning is an exercise in quality data collection, technical analysis, project development, project evaluation and prioritization as well as public involvement. Master plans first need ® to understand the community's wants. It is important to know what is desired. ® Through an analysis of existing and future conditions, a determination of needs can be attained. The complex part is: melding the wants and- the needs to build ® consensus on a program of projects that would be acceptable to the community, ® while mitigating future,impacts. Once a program of acceptable projects is listed, • they must be explained in'terms of costs to plan, design, and construct. Then they must be evaluated so those that meet the community criteria, are prioritized highest. Corradino likes la-develop implementation schedules with its master plans ® so that local governments understand the path for each project by identifying funding sources, appropriate permitting, and approval agencies, as well as implementation time frames. ® Parking Studies ® Corradino has-Worked with parking for many of its municipalities. Recently the firm completed a parking generation forecast for the:feasibility of a municipal ® parking garage and trcinsit transfer center in Palmetto Bay. For Miami Beach ® they performed they Intermodal Feasibility Study, -where ,they examined the • location, cost and parking generation of a municipal intermodal center. Also for Miami Beach the firm performed the one of the largest parking studies in the region, inventorying and analyzing all public parking in the city. This was a ® monumental data collection and arialysis effort. Corradino performed manual ® occupancy counts at least three times per day during the week and weekend ® for every public parking space, on street and off street, and then worked to develop parking policy for this critical infrastructure. Corradino has designed ® parking as well as estimated the cost to develop facilities. ® Roadway Design ® Corradino has successfully completed roadway design and drainage projects ® for cites in Miami-Dade County and across the nation for 40 years.
