Under Dr. Bonzon's leadership, B&A is providing CE&I services and is responsible for ensuring that the • design-build contractor complies with the contract requirements,MDAD's construction and design • guidelines as well as MDAD's standards and the project approved plans and specifications. He was • in charge of the management of terminal, airside and landside operations, aviation engineering, facilities development, business development, financial management and safety and security. As • MIA Aviation Director Dr.Bonzon: • • • Supervised the preparation of the MIA Mover DBOM Request for Proposal • Documents(RFP)and approved its issuance in 2004 • Led negotiation with American Airlines (AA) for the County to take over the • Construction Management of the North Terminal and for AA to pay the Aviation • Department$105 million towards the settlement of construction claims • Miami International Airport Capital Improvement Program - Responsible for the overall direction, • planning and management of the design and construction of MIA's $5.4 billion capital expansion • program,one of the world's largest and most ambitious expansion and redevelopment programs of • a functioning airport.
