Under <br /> Dr. Bonzon's leadership, B&A is providing CE&I services and is responsible for ensuring that the <br /> • design-build contractor complies with the contract requirements,MDAD's construction and design <br /> • guidelines as well as MDAD's standards and the project approved plans and specifications. The <br /> B&A Team is providing plans review, design support, office engineering, on-site quality assurance <br /> • EDUCATION inspection services, contract administration, construction safety monitoring, invoices/requisitions/ <br /> • University of Florida.Ph.D. contractor pay requests review,and oversight review of RFIs and shop drawings.The B&A Team will <br /> Engineering, 1969 <br /> • also provide support services during the testing, commissioning and close-out phases.The project <br /> • University of Florida,M.S. fixed-facilities will be substantially complete later this year. <br /> • Mechanical Engineering, 1967 <br /> Miami-Dade County Surface Transportation Manager - Dr. Bonzon was responsible for overseeing <br /> • University of Florida, B.S. Miami-Dade County's major transportation programs and capital development portfolio including <br /> • Mechanical Engineering, 1966 the following departments: Transit. Public Works, Office of Capital Improvements,Seaport and the <br /> • REGISTRATION Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). Some of the significant projects conducted under Dr. <br /> • PE Florida No. 16742 Bonzon's direction and oversight were as follows: <br /> • General Engineering • Miami Intermodal Center (MIC)-Eadington Heights Metrorail Connector- <br /> • Contractor-Miami Project Implementation/Final Design <br /> Dade County • Port of Miami Tunnel-County's Lead Representative <br /> • • Metrorail North Line Extension-FEIS/Preliminary Engineering <br /> • • Metrorail East/West Extension-Planning/Preliminary Engineering <br /> • • Major highway and road improvements including a complete upgrade of <br /> • the County's traffic signalization system. <br /> • Miami International Airport Interim Aviation Director - Dr. Bonzon was responsible for managing <br /> • the day-to-day operation of Miami International Airport (MIA) and four General Airports. He was <br /> • in charge of the management of terminal, airside and landside operations, aviation engineering, <br /> facilities development, business development, financial management and safety and security. As <br /> • <br /> MIA Aviation Director Dr.Bonzon: <br /> • <br /> • • Supervised the preparation of the MIA Mover DBOM Request for Proposal <br /> • Documents(RFP)and approved its issuance in 2004 <br /> • Led negotiation with American Airlines (AA) for the County to take over the <br /> • Construction Management of the North Terminal and for AA to pay the Aviation <br /> • Department$105 million towards the settlement of construction claims <br /> • Miami International Airport Capital Improvement Program - Responsible for the overall direction, <br /> • planning and management of the design and construction of MIA's $5.4 billion capital expansion <br /> • program,one of the world's largest and most ambitious expansion and redevelopment programs of <br /> • a functioning airport.
