j APPROACH & METHODOLOGY r1 • • • • Data Collection - We will engage in the collection of all available data that is vital to analyzing the • current conditions and upon which the design criteria of the project will be based. • • • City of Sunny Isles Beach and B&A Partnership Meeting - We will meet with the City staff to discuss • in detail the needs and goals of the assignment. We will explain our preliminary findings with respect to data and permitting constraints and present our preliminary deliverable schedule. We • will obtain a clear understanding of the City's construction budget, scheduling needs and discuss • in concept possible solutions that are acceptable to the City. • • Design Criteria Report Preparation - We will review the collected data in detail, evaluate the current • conditions and develop a design approach.A report will be prepared for submittal to the City of Sunny Isles • Beach and once accepted by the City it will establish the criteria by which the project will be designed. • The report will contain assumptions, limitations, and constraints associated with the project as well as list • the regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over the project from which permits will be required.This report • will be the basis upon which the construction documents will be developed and the foundation for the • project. • • Preparation of Construction Documents - We will prepare Construction Documents based on traditional • project delivery schedules. As such,we will submit 30%, 60%, 90%, and 100% plans for review by the City of • Sunny Isles Beach staff. However, if necessary,we can compress the schedule of deliverables by reducing • the number of review submittals. We can also assign staff to work at the City of Sunny Isles Beach where • City staff can conduct reviews together with our staff and shorten the review period. • • CAD Capabilities and Available Software • We have the right tools such as numerous stations with AutoCad, ArchiCad, Microstations for roadway • and land development design, and stations with Geopak, Bentley's WaterCad, ADICPR, 3DMAX, 3D • Studio, Photoshop, MS Office, Primavera and Adobe InDesign. • • Quality Control/ Quality Assurance • B&A has developed and implemented a thorough and comprehensive Quality Control Manual that • ensures the minimizing of errors and omissions on projects. At B&A, project quality is built-in not added • on. Quality work is the direct result of careful, properly sequenced production, and continuous checking • of each work element for completion and correctness. The standard checking procedure in our Quality • Control Manual will be utilized for production checking. The Project Manager and the Responsible • Professionals are to continuously monitor and coordinate all aspects of the project and check the work • for inclusion of client's review comments and requirements. In addition, a Quality Assurance Quality • Control (QA/QC) team will review all work products prior to delivery to the City to ensure compliance • with program requirements, conformance with applicable codes,constructability and conformance with • the established construction budget. • • Experience Working with Regulatory Agencies B.
