<br /> Keith and Schnars performed preliminary studies,a conceptual design and final design and CEI for the extension of Wiles Road from
<br /> Lyons Road to Powerline Road in Broward County,Florida.
<br /> Planning services included utility expansions and the development of a public involvement plan to include four public information 0
<br /> meetings.Surveying services included roadway alignment surveys,baseline establishments,monument setting,and right-of-way surveying.
<br /> Raster images (computer images of aerial photography overlain with roadway design) were utilized to develop a final product which
<br /> detailed all designs and areas to be impacted by the proposed improvements
<br /> Landscape architecture services included planning and coordinating landscape improvements with two municipalities to fit their desired
<br /> image/themes and maintenance capabilities.Improvements included planting,hardscapes and irrigation.Keith and Schnars also provided
<br /> permitting services for tree removal and water use. 4,
<br /> Engineering
<br /> Engineering services included civil,structural,environmental (mitigation),landscape architecture,planni ng,traffic,surveying,construction
<br /> and inspection. Keith and Schnars was responsible for all facets of the project.
<br /> Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Services were performed for Broward County to the FDOT specifications.The County 0
<br /> elected to contract the project in two phases.The roadway/bridge project consisted of building a four lane of an ultimately six lane
<br /> section in Northern Broward County. r
<br /> Wiles Road project was completed in two phases.After developing the alignment between Lyons Road and Powerline Road, K&S 0
<br /> oversaw the construction of a four lane divided roadway and bridge structure over Florida's Turnpike.The 2 mile roadway/bridge Go
<br /> project budget was $30,000,000 for the two phases and our design/CEI budget was $1.3 million.
