Civil/Environmental Engineering I 3-11
1
Werner Reinefeld, PE • 6,500 If of 8-inch water main along the area bounded by SW 82nd Avenue to SW 85th
Sanitary and Storm Pump Avenue and SW 41st Street to SW 46th Street. The scope of work included preparation of
Station Evaluation/Design and BODR-30%, 60%, and 90% submittal, construction documents, technical specifications,
Force Main Analysis permitting, and construction support
Design of 16-inch Distribution Pipeline for Reclaimed Water, MDWASD, Miami, FL. The
project involved constructing a new reclaimed water distribution pipeline from the CDWWTP
Water Reclamation Facility to Crandon Park Golf Course on Key Biscayne and then from the
Crandon Park Golf Course to the Village of Key Biscayne. Reclaimed water facilities will be
completely independent of all potable water, raw water supply, wastewater, and storm water
systems. Mr. Reinefeld was part of the design team for 3.4 miles of 16-inch reclaimed water
pipeline. The scope of work included preparation of BODR-30%, 60%, and 90% submittal,
construction documents, technical specifications, permitting, and construction support..
East Miramar Redevelopment Transmission and Distribution Water Main
Improvements, Phase Ill, City of Miramar, Miramar, FL.As project engineer, Mr. Reinefeld
provided engineering design services for the upgrade of approximately 72,000 If of water
mains. The project consisted of upgrading existing undersized 2-inch and 4-inch residential
a water mains to a 6-inch PVC water main. This effort will improve pressure and provide fire
protection within the area. Mr. Reinefeld worked closely with the city to produce the most
technically sound and cost effective design that incorporated all of the client's requirements and
needs.
Lakeside Ranches, South Florida Water Management District(SFWMD), Okeechobee
Lake, FL. During the 2005 Florida legislative session, the legislature and the Governor approved
funds to assist with the restoration of Lake Okeechobee. With funding secured, SFWMD began
work on the Lakeside Ranch Stormwater Treatment Area(LRSTA), a large regional facility that
will treat stormwater runoff. The facility incorporates inflow control facilities with the following
specs:
• S-650 Pump Station a 250 cfs design capacity facility
• S-191A Pump Station a 600 cfs design capacity facility
• LRSTA N&S Canal Hydraulic Control Structures
Additionally, outflow control facilities with the following specs are incorporated:
• Sta. N&S Cell Control Structures
• Outlet Control Structures
Mr. Reinefeld served on a design review team that assisted the SFWMD in reviewing all aspects
of construction documents for ongoing design projects.
1
I
I
0006027944.0512 Atkins I City of Sunny Isles Beach, RFQ No. 12-04-02
