The work included <br /> developing cost estimates, new street cross sections, and stormwater facilities. <br /> Victory Landing, Newport News, VA. Senior designer for waterfront development along the <br /> St. John's River for the City of Newport News. The project includes performance space, plazas, <br /> fountains, landscape garden spaces, and a riverfront promenade. The second phase will include <br /> outdoor dining areas, terraced overlooks, and a boardwalk. <br /> 1 Abernathy Road Linear Park, Sandy Springs GA. Served as senior designer for this City <br /> of Sandy Springs for this highly visible project on both sides of Abernathy Road that extends <br /> from the Chattahoochee River at Johnson's Ferry eastward to Roswell Road. The first phase is <br /> over 20 acres and proposes naturalizing landscapes, walkways and trails, large open meadows, <br /> sculpture gardens, an education/interpretive center, southern-style gardens, and stream <br /> enhancements. <br /> Virginia Beach Connector Parks, Virginia Beach, VA. Senior designer for this multi-phase <br /> design of thematic parks connecting the boardwalk to Atlantic Avenue, the main commercial <br /> collector street. The work included theme development and landscape design from concepts <br /> through construction documents. The project required developing thematic settings for more <br /> than 16 parks and coordination with artists and fabricators. <br /> Alexandria 2020, Alexandria, VA. Senior planner in charge of developing phase one of this <br /> urban infill projects located adjacent to Crystal City and the National Airport. The project is one <br /> of the largest urban renewal projects on the East Coast of the U.S. Once completed the project <br /> will include office, retail, housing, and a metro stop. The overall concepts respect the historic <br /> character of Old Town Alexandria in its street layout and proposed architectural style. <br /> Gulf Coast Museum of Art, Pinellas County, FL. Design of two sculpture gardens for <br /> rotating exhibits. The design includes two custom fountains, landscape plazas, and seating <br /> areas on a structural deck. <br /> St. Simons Island Village Master Plan, St. Simons Island, GA. Senior planner for a plan <br /> to address growth management issues for this island community located along the southeast <br /> coast of Georgia. The master plan included parking and development strategies, street cross <br /> sections, pedestrian walkway systems, and an urban park. <br /> Brunswick Revitalization Study, Brunswick, GA. Senior planner in charge of developing <br /> concepts to revitalize this coastal Georgia community.
