I� + City of Sunny Isles Beach RFP No. 12-04-02 ° (•., } Continuing Professional Architectural & Engineering Services -,;� ;.'� Firms Only (CCNA) O '!4,.O.r`°I •p Section 3 - Staffing ® Mr. Escott is skilled in the design of electrical systems including, but not limited to, fire alarm and detection ® systems, medium and low voltage AC power systems, Electronic Security Systems (ESS), uninterruptible power systems, computer power conditioning, grounding, lightning protection, lighting control systems, emergency O power, hazardous area electrical installations, control and monitoring systems, cable tray systems, ® communications raceway systems, and communications premise wiring. ® Both Mr. Lizasoain and Mr. Escott are successful Project Managers as they have demonstrated to simultaneously manage the four basic elements of a project including resources, time, money, and most importantly, scope. All o these elements are interrelated. Each must be managed effectively. Our Project Managers manages these ® elements together making the project and the project manager a success. Our Project Managers understand the project management process includes but is not limited to first agreeing the complete accurate specifications for ° the project , Plan the project considering factors such as time, team, activities, resources, financials using SGM's project management software and support, Communicate the project plan to the project team and owner, ® delegate project actions based on the strengths of individuals, ® manage and motivate staff by informing, encouraging, enabling the entire project team, Quality Assurance and 0 Checks to measure, monitor, review project progress communicating the project team and others, and successfully complete project concluding a review and report on project performance. ® Mr. Lizasoain and Mr. Escott's commissioning backgrounds include high containment facilities which include many potential risks associated with translating the design intent into the completed facility. In addition, Our o Project Managers ensure that both commissioning and validation are important tasks as these activities minimize ® the risk of subsequent rework and building alterations, which can be both costly and disruptive to the program of work. Our Project Managers experience is in commissioning for building envelopes, thermal barrier to provide ® insulating properties, a vapor barrier to prevent the diffusion of moisture through the building, drainage planes to effectively manage water infiltration, and an air barrier to control the movement of air across the building ° envelope. Satisfying these requirements led to significant changes in building envelope construction. O SGM Project Managers will ensure: ® • Provide daily communication between City and the project team ® • Coordinate, manage and execute concurrent project tasks • Perform QA/QC with at the various design stages • Develop design schemes • Coordinate with Key personnel ® • Pool Project Resource Professionals O Project Resource Professionals ® • Perform site visits to verify existing conditions ° • Perform energy model simulation • Perform life cycle cost analysis 0 • Provide insight/recommendations drawn on past experience to the Project Manager ® • Assist in the overall design effort • Assist in bidding and contractor selection ° • Conduct Construction Administration ® Size of Firm ® SGM has 26 staff-members in all disciplines available to perform job assignments. The staff committed to this contract will be immediately available for your projects and the depth of staff will provide support when necessary ® to handle multiple projects concurrently.
