In addition, participated in the preparation of a design competition as a <br /> • follow up to the original master plan. <br /> • Carnival Cruise Terminal 4, San Juan, Puerto Rico - Responsible for the overall design and <br /> • development of the reconstruction of this terminal. Responsibilities included the preparation of <br /> • construction documentation, coordination with the various consultants and local governmental <br /> ® agencies and assisting with construction administration. The project called for the expansion of <br /> an existing facility to add a second story to the existing building. This second level would house the <br /> • then-Immigration&Naturalization Service (INS) and Customs offices as well os check-in and waiting <br /> • areas while baggage handling stayed on ground level. Redesign included relocation of existing <br /> ® retail component and the addition of new restrooms,escalators and elevators. <br /> • Galata Port, Istanbul, Turkey - Prepared presentation documentation and diagrams for the <br /> • redevelopment of the existing waterfront which included a new passenger cruise terminal,residential <br /> • clusters,hotels and convention centers,among other features. <br /> • Pugsley A/B Terminal,Saint John Port Authority, New Brunswick,Canada-Project entailed a master <br /> • plan study for the development of a new multi-functional passenger cruise terminal as well as the <br /> • surrounding waterfront area that included a new mixed-use hotel,o restaurant and a new park with <br /> • retail pavilions. Responsible for preparation of client presentation. <br /> • Miami-Dade Expressway Authority SR836, SR874 and SR112 ORT/DMS Gantries, Miami, Florida - <br /> • Architect for the development of preliminary designs for the proposed ORT and DMS gantries <br /> • throughout the SR 836, SR 874 and SR 112 corridors. This includes the redesign/replacement of the <br /> award-winning existing Wing toll plaza on SR 836 with a new signature gateway gantry spanning <br /> • both East and West bound lanes and exit ramp to 17th avenue. Numerous signature designs were <br /> • also generated for mainline and ramp gantries throughout the corridors incorporating the proposed <br /> • ORT and DMS systems. <br /> • Miami-Dade Expressway Authority(MDX)SR 836, East Bound Toll Plaza,Miami, Florida-Job Captain <br /> • for this award-winning facility which is located on an existing expressway and includes two AVI lanes, <br /> • six toll lanes, a canopy, a service tunnel and a catwalk. Stainless steel and aluminum cladding <br /> • provided MDX with the advantages of off-site prefabrication,rapid construction and installation and <br /> minimum disruption for the public during this construction process. <br /> • <br /> • Miami-Dade Water And Sewer Department Headquarters Facility, Miami, Florida - B&A served as <br /> • design criteria professional for the $30 million headquarters facility comprised of a 5-story office <br /> building and a 10-story parking garage.
