Performed sand sampling and nearshore <br />hardbottom surveys. <br /> <br />Miami Harbor Phase III, Miami-Dade County, Florida <br />CLIENT: PortMiami <br />Conducted post-transplantation survey of thirty-eight Acropora <br />cervicornis colonies. Work involved locating and tagging colonies, <br />taking photographs, measuring colony size, identifying stress <br />indicators, and assessing tissue color and partial mortality. <br />Fragments were reattached via apoxy. Also conducted compliance <br />monitoring of one hundred Acopora cervicornis colonies located <br />adjacent to the entrance channel for the Miami Harbor Phase III <br />Federal Channel Expansion Project in order to evaluate impacts <br />related to the Project <br /> <br />Rickenbacker Causeway Recreation Area, Miami-Dade County, <br />Florida <br />CLIENT: Miami Dade County Public Works <br />Design of shoreline stabilization and associated public recreation <br />area improvements along 2.5-miles of shoreline of the <br />Rickenbacker Causeway across Biscayne Bay. Marine resource and <br />hydrographic surveys completed, and coastal engineering analysis <br />conducted to assess design wave conditions, sediment transport <br />and optimum shoreline stabilization methods. Design elements <br />included landscaping, invasive species removal with native species <br />restoration, parking improvements, stormwater management and <br />vendor kiosks for waterfront activities. <br /> <br />Village of Key Biscayne Beach Management, Florida <br />CLIENT: Village of Key Biscayne <br />Coastal engineering and environmental permitting for 75,000 cubic <br />yard beach fill project. Marine resource and hydrographic surveys <br />conducted, along with sand source search, jet probes, vibracores, <br />and marine archeological surveys. <br /> <br />
