Mr. Sadler will communicate project status to Sea Diversified personnel and the City.
This is important information to share because there may be areas where the City can provide
input to ensure successful project completion.

Experience has taught the professionals at SDI that successful projects need to have a shared and
understood vision, which is only achieved when measurable business objectives are established and
met. Projects will be carefully defined and developed in-line with the City’s objectives. Costs and time
estimates are key targets along with issues of quality control throughout the duration of the projects.
A structured approach to integrating project scope, time, cost, quality, personnel resources,
communication, procurement and risk management will maximize project success. This maintained
management methodology will greatly benefit the City of Sunny Isles Beach under this continuing
services contract.

SDI specializes in annual, indefinite delivery-type contracts and under these contracts every survey
assignment is conducted to the highest level of industry standards and under the responsible charge
of a Professional Surveyor and Mapper registered in the State of Florida. For each survey task order
SDI will gain full understanding of the project requirements and properly assign supervision, field /
office support staff and equipment to effectively perform the scope of work. All work is conducted to
meet or exceed the Minimum Technical Standards set forth by the Florida Board of Professional
Surveyors and Mappers in Chapter 5J-17, Florida Administrative Code, Section 472.027, Florida
Statutes, as well as, other standards and specifications, as applicable such as the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers (USACE) "Technical Requirements for Surveying, Mapping and Photogrammetric Services,"
Revised March 1989; USACE "Engineering Design: Hydrographic Surveying," EM 1110 -2-1003, April
1, 2004; and the Monitoring Standards for Beach Erosion Control Projects prepared by the
Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), Bureau of Beaches & Coastal Systems (BBCS), May
2014, Edited October 2014.

SDI has developed specific procedures pertaining to the planning, implementation and completion of
all survey assignments. At the onset of every survey assignment the project manager will coordinate
closely with the Client to ensure complete and thorough understanding of the project requirements
including purpose of the project and expected final deliverables. The project manager will stay involved in
the project from initiation to completion to ensure adherence to established schedules, fulfillment of
project deliverables, and overall quality control. The project manager will assign a survey supervisor to
develop a plan for the project that details personnel and equipment resources requirements,
methodologies, schedules for both field and office operations and quality control procedures. Prior to the
implementation of the field operations, the survey supervisor will meet with the field crew assigned to the
project to review purpose of the survey, location of the survey, site conditions, personnel requirements,
equipment requirements, methodologies, quality control procedures, expected deliverables and
established schedule for completion. Specific requirements of the survey will be outlined including but
not limited to project datums, horizontal / vertical control availability, accuracy criteria, site access,
weather constraints and other site or environmental conditions that may be pertinent to the project.
