PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />FEMA FUNDING ASSISTANCE: <br />Hillsborough Beach and Key Biscayne Beach Renourishment Projects, (Florida F,47. <br />HS staff was <br />instrumental in helping the Town <br />of Hillsboro Beach and Village <br />of Key Biscayne in obtaining <br />cost matching FEMA funding for <br />their beach nourishment projects. <br />In addition to assisting with the <br />41 �, ■ <br />AL r <br />permitting and FEMA approval <br />" process, the principal also <br />-- performed a beach survey along <br />the DEP monuments and half <br />monuments and followed the <br />FDEP surveying protocol to <br />document the erosion that had <br />occurred at each beach. Volume <br />_ calculations were performed <br />_ ! comparing historical and <br />seasonal profile data to post <br />(; storm conditions to satisfy the <br />- FEMA requirements. QHS' <br />principal was also in charge of <br />locating a sand borrow area for the projects, mapping existing resources, assisting with design drawings, <br />construction documents, and all monitoring.
