The goal of the design was to create a demonstration garden utilizing one hundred <br />percent native plant materials which will be used to educate the center’s users of the various methods in <br />which native plant material can be successfully incorporated into a residential landscape setting. In <br />correlation with the use of native plant materials, special attention was given to utilizing plant materials with <br />low water needs that would support a variety of native wildlife species. Through the use of these design <br />strategies a garden was created that not only compliments the culture of sustainability existing throughout the <br />center but also serves as an educational resource to the surrounding community. <br />25.
