BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />This Complete Streets Project involved the <br />provision of landscape architectural <br />services for the design and permitting of <br />approximately 0.90 miles of roadway <br />improvements. The engineering services <br />included a complete storm drainage <br />system, a roundabout to replace an existing <br />traffic signal, traffic calming devices, <br />landscape and streetscape enhancement, <br />utility coordination and relocation, and full <br />roadway reconstruction. The main Project <br />objective was to discourage truck traffic <br />and redirect cut-through traffic from NE <br />38th Street to alternate routes between <br />Andrews Avenue and NE 11th Avenue. This <br />project required permit approvals from <br />Broward County Environmental Protection <br />Department (EPD), and the City of Oakland Park Public Works and Engineering and Community Development <br />Departments. <br />This project will utilize FDOT LAP funding for construction. Craven Thompson and Associates is currently assisting <br />the City of Oakland Park with the funding procurement process. <br /> <br /> <br />25.
