Purpose. The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit proposals for the <br />cleaning of storm drains and jetting of lines. <br /> <br />1.1 Procedure. Submit three (3) sets of the complete proposal by the closing date and <br />time. <br /> <br />1.2. No reimbursement will be made by the City of Sunny Isles Beach for any costs <br />incurred in appropriation ofthe proposal or any presentation(s). <br /> <br />1.3. Property of City. All bids and accompanying documentation received from <br />bidders in response to this Request for Proposals shall become the property of the <br />City and will not be returned to the bidders. In the event of contract award, all <br />documentation and work product produced as part of the contract shall become <br />the exclusive property of the City. This subsection is applicable to Requests for <br />Proposals and Requests for Letters of Interest documents, which also become <br />property of the City. <br /> <br />1.4. By submission of a response hereunder, the respondee becomes responsible to <br />comply with the terms and conditions of the Purchasing Procedures Ordinance of <br />the City as may be amended from time to time. To the extent of any conflict, the <br />terms ofthis document control. <br /> <br />2. Backl!:round. As a participant in the E.P.A Stormwater Program, better known as the <br />National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), it is necessary for the City to <br />clean all storm drains and catch basins each year. Additionally, the drain lines <br />constituting outfalls must be jet-cleaned to allow faster flow of stormwater. <br /> <br />3. Qualifications. In order to qualify for consideration, the bidder shall have at least 5 <br />years of experience in storm drain cleaning, and shall exhibit proof of competence by <br />providing specific references from at least 3 municipalities wherein similar projects have <br />been completed. <br /> <br />4. Proposal. <br /> <br />4.1 Instructions.
