CITY OF AVENTURA <br />BID No. 98-8-17-2 <br />PAGE No. 28 <br />This is not an order <br />PARKS/MEDIANS/RIGHT-OF-WAY MAINTENANCE <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />B. Trim shrubs and ground cover, as needed, to meet the criteria set forth in <br />FOOT Index 546, which mandates a maximum height of 24" from top of <br />adjacent curb. <br />C. The Ficus tree screen on the west side of Biscayne Boulevard is to be <br />trimmed and maintained (top and both sides) at the same height and YX <br />spread as it presently exists_ In addition, remove all invasive exotics,L <br />growing in and around these trees. ►� <br />D_ Remove dead and dying fronds from palms, as needed, for clean <br />appearance. Use no climbing spikes. Trim Coconut Palms (frond and fruit <br />removal) three times per year. <br />E. Selectively trim existing trees in accordance with National Arborist <br />Association and Dade County standards and practices, to maintain a <br />minimum of 8 feet of clear trunk. Remove suckers, shoots, and dead or <br />dying branches. All tree, palm, and shrub pruning is included in this <br />contract. <br />F. Do no major tree or shrub pruning between November 1 st and March 15th, <br />unless requested by City. <br />G. Maintain integrity of original design when trimming. Do not box plants whose <br />habits of growth does not lend itself to this type of trimming. <br />H. Use no machete for trimming. <br />Haul away all trimming debris from site, and properly dispose of at <br />contractor's expense. <br />J.
